Happy New Year Folks. Just watching Man Ure against Burnley.

How is that fat fella still managing Prem football?
Constantly giving the BIG team that advantage.

Disgraceful
Very late on Maguire pulled a Burnley player down in the penalty area. **** all given. Ignored by VAR.

He needs to lose a few thousand pounds Andy and get the sack!

Sixth rant about him over!

He is a 'centre circle referee', the sort of ref you see in park football all the time.
I did think he was quite a level headed ref, a fairly safe pair of hands but the João handball was embarrassing for him as he was too far away to see it. It was more embarrassing for marriner on var though

No H in his shortened name, like the CC drummer.

Jonathan or Jon, but never John.

His Twitter page states; Half man. Half ref. All legend. PGMOL Select Group 1 official. Saving the Premier League, one match at a time. Make of that, what you will!

Can't be all bad, he's got his own record shop - "The Vinyl Whistle".
Doesn't excuse him for the Joao handball though.

He is not worth to be a referee, and even more not worth having a discussion on him.

People question his fitness, but he passed the referees fitness test, so he must be considered fit enough for the Premier League. Which makes me think the fitness test is not fit for purpose.

Oddly was just looking it up. In 2020 Andy Madley and David Coote failed the test and it looks pretty tough to be fair. It's hard to understand how he is fitter than those two. He certainly doesn't ref as if he thinks keeping up with play is a key part of his job!
