As ever, with all 4 stands, what is happening on the pitch will dictate.

That's the problem....first two seasons in the premier league we hardly scored in any first half, the crowd was still buzzing.....nw if we ain't 2-0 up in 15 mins it dies........there is a different level of expectancy coming from the stands....we need the crowd at this level, always have, always will....

Yep what happens on the pitch dictates how the stands react, but we do need to try to give the lads a lift against the geordie hords who will make themselves heard for sure, so come on guys have an extra pint or three and get yourselves in good voice.. COYW

I’ll be in the South Bank for the first time in ages this afternoon.

Taking microphone and speakers so no excuses lol! :)

Love the references to all of the stands - ffs. South Bank has always for the last 30 years been the noisy home stand (I don’t go far enough back to North Bank in the 70s) - it never needed and should never need the other stands to support it making the noise and getting behind the team. Can you imagine the yellow wall in Dortmund saying I’m not singing until the other stands sing….

Rivalry between the stands is odd.

Unfortunately the atmosphere will probably get worse consistently as the fans in the stand get older.

I thought the atmosphere in the Southbank was pretty good today.

Couldn't complain today, obviously the goal helped, Geordies were good until KO, but our strong start got the fans going. They didn't make any noise until they equalised, when of course they were quite buoyant and we were very deflated. So not exactly bouncing, but decent.

Thought the atmosphere was generally good today. Was in J10 and singing all game bar the last 20 minutes. Helps that it was a bank holiday Sunday, sun was out and 2nd game of the season.

Couldn’t hear you in the BW block 8 when Newcastle scored. Felt like you all gave up.
Better giving up after 90 minutes than making no noise for 90 minutes.

Just saying!

We are all human. It felt like a kick in the stomach, as it always does. Though we were sitting so deep and it was coming.

The Newcastle fans had a good song going before kick-off but that dance music just drowned them out, and they never really got going again until they scored.

Acoustics in the ground are clearly poor then. In J1 Steve Bull and would say it was ok but couldn’t hear you throughout.

Would love to nw what the average age is off our season ticket holders...bet is well high.......I sit in the north bank upper was looking around yesterday an I would say the majority are 45/60.......the premier league bubble with fans isn't catering for the lower age levels at all clubs.....unlike when I was younger the upcoming fans are being shut out with prices and lack of seats at most clubs ...

I suggested a few months ago, from Wolves planned 5k expansion of the South Bank, make 3k of them unreserved cheaper seats for Under 21s.
Pay on the day if possible, groups could sit together, would bolster the noise level, and get many more younger fans inside Molineux too.

It was. It came over loud watching on the telly.
It seemed like singing came from the South Bank with the other stands joining in too.
I thought it was ace yesterday.
The Southbank were brilliant and all the other stands seemed up for it. I was in the Graham Hughes and the atmosphere in there was good too, the best I can remember in recent times, except for maybe our Europa League nights.
I definitely think the quality of the away following contributes towards a better atmosphere.

Yes....it's not just our problem....top flight premier league football has a problem across the board...it's like a subscription service nw.....your either in or you are excluded ..

When I was younger , you were never excluded like this....you didn't have to go to every game, you could always go to all the big games, when you wanted.....stand with your mates, not sit in a spare seat in your own.....you could watch the elite games like European cup games or later champions league games on terrestrial television, without signing up to a subscription TV service....

There won't he the same passion for the game in 30/40 years time....it will all have an affect...

Been thinking the same for a long time now.

Went to Edgbaston yesterday for the 100.

First time for me there and what a difference, 2 adults and 2 children for virtually the same price as a single ticket for a premier league game.

Shuttle bus from New Street to the ground.

Sitting in the Hollies with great atmosphere, akin to the South Bank.

App on phone to click and collect food and drinks.

Not just for 90 minutes but all afternoon and evening.

They have now got a new convert to a great days sporting spectacular.

Only downside, it was a typical Wolves performance, the Phoenix got thrashed by the Manchester Originals :(

Sounds a great day out...loved cricket as a kid but call me old fashioned or stuck in my ways but I couldn't support a Birmingham team.... regardless off the sport.....

Cricket at the commonwealth games was great too, seems they’ve got the matchday experience cracked.

You never heard the Neves or Moutinho songs? Nor Fight fight wherever you may be?

Thought these songs were sung with real gusto yesterday

And Si Senor and Pedro Neto.

It was the best it’s been for a while on Sunday.

I am always amused looking at the South Bank ten minutes before kick-out, it always looks half empty.
Then it rapidly fills up by kick-off, like those fans have timed the pub to ground with absolute perfection.
Yep. I do thanks. If I walk to my seat, shake a few hands, turn around face the pitch , take my first bite of my pie then the whistle blows it’s absolute nirvana.

Albion get battered
Build a bonfire.
Tripper getting the ****er on corner duty treatment was decent. He was smiling but deep down I know it must have hurt him.

Same here, turnstile queues for the SB are so short and quick that it’s easy to time when you will get in and I usually get to my seat less than 5 minutes before kick-off. Any more and I look at it as wasted drinking and socialising time.

I went in the quadrant twice last season and it was a nightmare, the queues weren't too long but few people knew how to scan their print at home tickets so it took an age to get in.

as in everyone was singing them, at least in our stand - so i meant we weren't sat in silence thinking how loud the SB was. Then the one time we could only hear you was "we'll sing on our own"
