Not sure if there is anything in it just repeating what I've seen

Fletch to be replaced by - Charlie Austin - Burnley - know nowt about him tbh

Jarvis - to be replaced by Tom Ince

Would love to see Tom Ince down here looked a fine player for Blackpool

Charlie Austin I'm not too sure. I've seen a bit of him, not a great deal.

Tom Ince would be a massive yes.

Where have you seen these rumours? My personal opinion of the two is Tom Ince definitely, he'd be a great signing but Charlie Austin is nothing special really. Would rather Solbakken scoured the foreign market for a better alternative if thats the kind of player hes looking for.

Don't really want to replace a 12 million pound striker in Fletch with someone who used to play for the mighty Thatcham Town. If we're in the market for a Championship plodder we may as well go and get Grant Holt.

A massive yes for Ince though.

Thomas Ince looked OK at the back end of last season. He's got potential, but doesn't get me overly excited. Would welcome him though.

Charlie Austin, decent Championship striker, should be aiming higher than players like that IMO.

Why would Stale be looking English??

Ince for me is better than Jarvis (or at least will be)

Tom Ince looks a quality player and if we get him as a replacement for Jarvis I'd absolutely love it.

A good player is a good player, all comes down to value/price. Plus points for domestic based players is obviously familiarity, lower chance of not settling, language (though sometimes I wonder what language some English players are speaking).

Like any investment decision.. many variables..

Why on earth do people seem to think that Stale won't sign any English players at all? He's sure to have done his research

Absolutely = but Stale seems to be going with what he knows, which isn't British.

This is what puts me off... I can't see us signing many british signings anymore.

Me neither.

I don't think he won't sign English/British, I just don't expect many. We'll sign this CB and one other player (Baldock) so I can't see Ince coming.

there's also talk that Jarvis may involve another past target rather than Baldock

Think there was quite a long thread when we were last linked - dont want to type the name in case it starts another, but someone knew him who posts on here - he was a nice lad and played for Crewe before Bristol City and hasnt been at West Ham long - Probably end up with Baldock

For me neither really replace Fletch - there is a great deal riding on the iceman this season

Arctic mentioned Sam Baldock the other day but I couldn't find a source - any ideas?

Baldock hasn't really set the world on fire has he 5 goals in 22 starts. Austin got 17 in 46 starts last season...

Rhodes scored 40 goals in 45 starts that's where I'd go...
