Bruno I feel has made some chronic decisions with team and subs, and maybe its the lack of knowledge of the prem that leads to this. So why dont we employee a new member of staff to help him with these decisions. Every good double act had a great No2, get someone who could help him out as i dont believe the team he has at the moment in the dugout are the best. Not sure who would come in, but surely its better to pay someone on a temp basis than change the manager.

I don't think it's a bad idea. A strict disciplinarian as an assistant might help, in my opinion, as much as somebody with experience. Such things are usually best done right at the start though, and I agree with the suggestion that such a move now might undermine more than it would help.

Employing your own brother does raise questions as to if he’s there on merit.

Is he a good coach though? We keep hearing that but wheres the evidence?
As for the OP suggestion of employing someone to help Bruno out....why pay 2 wages when we can just replace the man who's showing he's not up to the job?!
Going more on his work in Portugal.
Developing younger players truth be told.

How about Roy Keane?

His success in Portugal was a total fluke is my best guess. That he should manage a PL team after one excellent season and one abysmal season (part season) in Portugal is strange (aka beyond belief). Totally out of his depth - drowning not waving.

Interesting thread but probably too late.
I think if we don’t beat W.H. then Bruno will be leaving.

However, I think Liverpool have a dedicated attacking coach and had a throw in coach.

I heard they'd already employed Father Paul Stone to do the pre-match pep talks.

I
After those suggestions I think it’s safe to say the thread is dead. Who’s next on the list Joe Kinnear? Dave Bassett?

Roy Kinnear or Bertie Bassett would be better than the current coach !!!! ( Sorry to any younger members who have no idea who those 2 are ! )

Interesting thread but probably too late.

Wolves seemingly employ a " We dominated possession Coach ! ":D:D:D

We’ve got a goalkeeping coach in Tony Roberts, so why not an attacking coach?

Defence and midfield seem ok, but up front it is obvious something needs to happen rather than doing nothing at all. Whoever is coaching our strikers is not fit for purpose!

I don’t think the problem is the strikers.

If I was **** at my job and paid millions for it would my employer hire someone else and pay their wages alongside mine to help me be less ****? Or maybe they would just show me the door and get someone in who could actually do the job I was paid millions to do nd not be **** at it.

New coaches Bruno needs:-

1) Tactics coach
2) Shooting coach
3) Set Pieces coach
4) Attacking phase coach
5) Specialist throw in coach
6) Substitutions coach
7) Second ball coach
8) Pressing coach
9) Defensive phase coach
10) Passing forward coach
11) Off the ball coach

Tbf he could hopefully amalgamate a few of the roles as long as they were still able to make the difference required.

Surely Jeff could cover a few of those himself?!

I dont think Roberts brings anything to the table
He always seems surly and not bothered
Lage should be in overall charge of everything coaching wise, not his brother or Roberts or any of the other stand arounds
All we seem to see is them huddling around an Ipad, while Lage jumps up and down waving his arms around
It cant be helping the players see a manager behaving like a spoilt child on the touchline
They have had all week to prepare for games, get ready for any eventuality, yet we see every game subs warming up but not used or using them too late or in the wrong ways
He has plenty of advisors around yet gets it wrong so many times
So in answer to the OP no he doesnt have the right staff or he just doesnt listen to them
Ive defended him up till lately as he wasnt backed enough, but that excuse has gone now,yes hes been unfortunate with injuries but every manager must deal with that scenario at some time, and to me he fails more than he succeeds
