I have two membership cards. One in my name and one for MRS HW.
If she can't make a game, I go with a mate.
Will this cause a problem us this year, especially if they are checking for vaccination data?

Similar for me I can’t make Spurs game so the plan is the wife uses my season ticket to go with our son.

I'm sure the club are fully aware this is very common. They ought to allow a 2nd name but then advertise the fact they will do spot checks. I think this would benefit the majority who do it in families and with close friends but discourage the larger group pooling of tickets that definitely also happens.
I suspect checking id for all is impractical so the chances are you will be ok. Would be nice to be open about it and the club be pragmatic though wouldn't it.

Same. My cousin and I charge our ticket. So will be a major problem for us. And costly

has the family and friends thing been discontinued where you could let the club know in advance that someone else on your F&F list was attending, and pay the difference

It would be useful to know what happened at Leicester today?
..... any spot checks or NHS app checks etc?

It was carnage at gate 44-46. We got there at 2.30 and were at the back of a very large queue.

they were letting one or 2 fans at a time access the turnstiles after being checked and searched by security.

in the end everyone surged forward and broke through the security barrier. Even the Police were apologising and telling the security staff to let us in.

It was weird, there were two sets of turnstiles for Wolves fans. One set (fortunately mine) absolutely no checks, queues, nothing. Just stroll up and go through.

The other set had a long queue, sounds like stewards had a different approach for whatever reason. I guess plenty of them are new to the job or rusty after 18 months...

No but I did get canvassed by a Premier League representative outside about; did I expect covid checks today; have I taken a test; would I have any problem showing proof at future fixtures.

We went through 44-46, luckily we were early, because the security staff were incredibly. slow. However, there was no COVID check for double jabs or tests. It reminded me of Braga except we weren’t soaked or assaulted!

The checks don't come in until October.
Nothing like queuing up in the p***ing down rain whilst not being able to unlock your phone to show your NHS covid passport. In trying to prevent a virus we’ll all be flu’d up and bad before November hits.

What were they actually checking ? I couldn’t believe they were only letting 1 or 2 to the turnstile at a time when there were hundreds cueing to get in , it was quarter to 3 I don’t now how they expected to get everyone in with what they were doing and only the surge stopped their incompetence , the police couldn’t believe what they were doing either they kept saying we want you all inside …

Think any ID checks will cone in when the proper covid protocol cones in (start of October isn’t it).

Was never going to happen yesterday as not advised in advance, for the moment all tickets encourage having covid status docs (negative result or proof of vax but state its only because this is expected to be required from October.

Saying that a lot of what people are saying above still breaks the ts and cs of your ticket/season ticket/membership and could easily result in them being taken off ypu if the club decide to crack down…………..so maybe don’t admit it on here eh and show the club there is a problem.

Can't believe people are turning up to the ground at quarter to 3 and expecting to walk straight in tbh

It was slow and there were sniffer dogs (drugs presumably)

Been sniffer dogs at a lot of away games for a few years now. Think they’re mpre for pyro/flares etc……….well they’ve never found any of my drugs anyway

We got there at half 2. At 2.50 we hadn’t moved and there were a good 100 fans in front of us.

every other gates (for home and away fans were clear with 5 minutes to go so yes I do expect to get in at that time. Unfortunately a set of jumped up stewards had other ideas at gate 44-46

It’s always been a complete nightmare trying to get through the turnstiles at Leicester. Everything is done at a snails pace.

I dont understand the difference. I saw the huge queue at turnstiles 44-46 but luckily our tickets were 47-49 we went straight in with no queue at all.

Jobs worths I think. Some folk love to make things as difficult as possible for away fans.

Which is the madness of it as they will be needed less then....
Not necessarily so. Cases are relatively low now due to vaccines and because schools are out and people are socialising outdoors. Once schools are back and rain drives people inside, cases may pick up again, although hopefully without so many in hospitals or dying.

This may be useful info to some folks who are wondering.

I got a little concerned when I saw the news about October and ID checks so contacted the club. For the last 15 of 17 years I've attended games with my best mate. He decided to stop going our first year back in the prem with nuno and I've been taking an under 17 relative with me since on his card. This has meant that I've paid adult prices for a youngster basically the last two years.

Told the club the deal via email and they were actually really accommodating. Got my mate to consent to details being changed over via email, club have refunded me and reverted the adult ticket to an under 17 which surprised me and will be sending a new card out this week.

This slightly differs to what people are saying they are worried about on here but I found the club really helpful with my experience, ...which to be honest I wasn't expecting at all!

Hopefully they will be as accommodating going forward with all. I thought there would be no way they would do this due to the waiting list for tickets and the fact I never asked for any kind of refund so fairplay to them.

One of the supporters clubs I know of pools season tickets which the club have said they do not like in the past. Hopefully this year we see a clamp down so the ticket goes to someone on the waiting list they are doing out of a ticket.
