Please for the love of God someone please help me find somewhere nice to go away on Holiday. I've been looking for weeks and haven't found anywhere. It's always too something or other. This will be my first lone foreign holiday. Haven't been on a plane since 1997. Here is my ideal holiday...

Beachfront Hotel
Quiet as can be
Preferably North Africa or Turkey
Flying from East Midlands
Within an hour for Airport transfer
Small hotel with Bar/Restaurant
Before School Holidays
7-10 nights
Friendly
Clean
Good airline
Either very good reviews or good experience by you
£750 max
But the cheaper/cleaner/friendlier the better

That's all that comes to mind. All inclusive would make life easier but it's not essential and I would expect to pay a bit more for that obviously.

What's your usual go to? Where was you favourite Mediterranean Holiday?

Olu Deniz, Turkey
Kalithea, Rhodes
Riviera Maya, Mexico

Can easily do a week in Turkey early July for £500 each. But that's self catering. Food is dirt cheap. Beer prices same as Wolves. in Olu Deniz the hotels are small but close to busy strip / beach front. People are very friendly but can be pushy with selling, but you can nip that in the bud easily. Sounds like what you are after. TUI/ Jet2 fly to Dalaman daily from Brum and East Mid, its a 1hr transfer to Olu.

I'd recommend TravelRepublic.com

I love Egypt. We did Sharm before the uprising and subsequent Russian plane issues.

I wouldn't go there for another 3-5yrs personally. Similar with Tunisia.

Salou, Spain, up the Barcelona end.

Lovely and clean, not too noisy.

Some great hotels, fantastic bars and restaurants. Super beach.

Can get a bus to Barca for sight seeing for the day.

I'm currently drooling over holidays like 13-year-old boy with a porn mag.

We're booked in to take the caravan down to Croma, but if my employment position was a little more secure I'd **** that off and go to Turkey... or possibly do both.

We're dictated by school holidays but there's still bargains to be had.

Cape Verde for a fly and flop.
A week or 2 around a pool in a 5 star all inclusive hotel?
You said you pay extra for all Inc? We've just paid £2300 for 2 of us for 2 weeks. Food is spot on too in a Riu Hotel.

Or you could do the Canaries. Fuerteventura and Lanzarote are the windier 2 islands and I've never done Grand Canaria but I've been to Tenerife twice this year and twice last year. That's an endorsement. Playa Fanabe in Costa Adeje.
I do self catering there though, €1 a pint of Dorada, and sometimes Estrella for a €1 too.
Food cheap enough, or expensive if you like that.
The Spanish measures for spirits are excellent.

I used to go every year on the coach with the working mens club when i was a nipper. What was all that brown foam on the sea?

Ha! We put that foam in to render the scousers infertile.

Revenge for you lot building castles on our land and upsetting Llewelyn ap Gruffudd
