Done the double over Leeds and Arsenal in the same season before?
Not since WW2. On a couple of occasions we've won 3 and drawn 1 out of the 4 games (such as 46-47) but I can't see a double double anywhere, partly because Leeds were out of the old 1st Division for about 10 years in the late 40s /early 50s.

Several times. Arsenal I know we did in 1967/8 and Leeds 1958/9 1959/60. There will be more.
Wrong in each case. I have Tony Matthews' Wolves: the Complete Record in front of me, and I saw many of the games in those three seasons. I'll post all the scores if you don't believe me with dates, Wolves scorers and the crowd.

Please post them. Do I have to say “I don’t believe you” firstly?
No, of course not. To save time, I'll just post the ones that disprove BNW's claim:

67-8 December 23rd Leeds 2 Wolves 1
57-8 October 5th Leeds 1 Wolves 1
April 8th Wolves 1 Arsenal 2
58-9 October 18th Arsenal 1 Wolves 1

Season 1967/8 we beat Arsenal 3-2 at Molineux and 2-0 at Highbury. 23rd Oct and 16th March respectively.

Season 1958/9 we beat Leeds 6-2 at Molineux on 14th Feb and beat them 3-1 at Elland Road on 31st March.

Season 1959/60 beat them 4-2 at Molineux on 14th Nov and 3-0 at Elland Road on 2nd April. Leeds were relegated that year.

The first is down to memory which I've just checked with 2 sources the other 2 are checked with the same 2 sources. So it will be interesting to find out if both sources are wrong and my memory (which is always possible). Or yours are incorrect.

Those scores are correct but you are still wrong because the question was about a season when we did the double over both Arsenal and Leeds in the same season, not one or the other -- there have been many of the latter.

Leeds United

Of course I misread the OP.

No, the question was about doing the league double over both teams in the same season. WE HAVE JUST SET A NEW RECORD!!!!! PUT OUT THE FLAGS!!!!
I know what the question was. I was asking if that was a mistake that had led to the disparity in claimed results.

This is what l was wondering. Is it because they are ‘big’ clubs, just like the ‘big’ posters in this thread?!
There is no significance whatsoever, except that, if you are old enopugh to remember, Arsenal and Leeds were two of the very biggest clubs in the land in the early 70s

I’m not old enough for Leeds but l have read that brilliant book about Clough’s time at Leeds (l know it’s not entirely factual), but did grow up watching Arsenal upset Liverpool during the 80s.

I guess it doesn’t matter really, it’s great to see Wolves do the double over anyone in the Prem

Don't think 'Arsenal upset Liverpool in the 80s' mate. In that decade Liverpool won the league 6 times, including a hattrick. Arsenal won it just once in 88-9. I think you may be thinking of when Arsenal won 2-0 at Anfield in the final game of 90-91 to take it off Liverpool on goal difference.

Lets break this down .
Have we ever done the double over Burnley and Manchester United ?
The point being how often have the three teams been in the same division ?
When were Arsenal Leeds and Wolves in the same division over the last 40 years ? Then take a double win - it's unlikely.

I'd guess a fair few times. from late 60's to the mid 80's. All 3 of us as I recall. Apart from us taking a little holiday in Division One :)
