I used to have subscription to UK Sky until 2006 and since then have switched to German Sky TV as the flat already had a dish installed pointed to that Astra sat. We're now cancelling SKY and pay-TV altogether and moving house in June where I am thinking of installing my 1.20m dish that I had leftover from previously.
The question is will I be able to pick up any freesat channels on Astra 28.2 with my 1.20 dish in combination with my old Amstrad SKY box? Or if I want a full offering of free UK channels, would I need a different receiver/smartcard? Or are there any other sats I could point at that offer better?
A motorized dish or dual LNB is out of the question as I want to use as much stuff as I already have and as a temporary stay-at-home-Dad wim broke anyway
