Which is firstly disappointing because he’s brilliant but secondly because you’d think at his age he would be fit enough to play 90 mins after 90 mins.

It does seem Bruno fancies himself as some sort of tactical genius tinker man. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t.

Personally I preferred Nuno’s “this is us, consistent team, we play our way” approach. But that also sometimes worked, sometimes didn’t...

Which will revert back to the techniques we used under Nuno to get the players back up and running again, iirc it was Besiktas and City including travel within a few days of each other and the recovery systems began soon as the full time whistle went, I can't buy fitness being an issue unless we decidedly removed those systems.

We probably did - we certainly removed many (all?) of the personnel associated with them. The same way that the structured warm ups on the pitch before the start and restart have been replaced with some half-assed rubbish.

Thats a fair point but we can’t rotate everytime we’ve got fixture congestion. We’d have to buy a whole new second team if we make Europe.
