Manchester City star Erling Haaland may have smashed the Premier League goals tally, but there is still more he can achieve.

The 22-year-old banged in his 35th top-flight goal of the season in Wednesday night’s 3-0 win against West Ham at the Etihad.

In doing so, he eclipsed the feat Alan Shearer and Andy Cole managed before the Premier League switched from a 42-game campaign to a 38-game season in 1995.

Undoubtedly Europe’s standout player this term, Haaland has fired in 51 goals in all competitions in his debut Premier League season.

Despite all of his strikes, the Norway international has insisted he would trade them all in for City to win the treble.

But with City on course to win the Premier League, as well as being favourites to lift the Champions League and FA Cup, Haaland could write himself in history with even more records to his name.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund marksman has scored against 16 different Premier League teams – just one shy of the record.

Haaland will have the chance to equal and break the record when City face Brentford and Chelsea later this month.

And with four top-flight hat-tricks, he is just one away from tying the five Shearer scored in a single season.

With 42 Premier League goal contributions, Haaland is also five away from levelling the record set in a 42-game campaign by Shearer and Cole, and four away from Thierry Henry’s 38-match tally from the 2002/03 season.

Haaland also needs to score 12 goals to equal Dixie Dean’s record from the 1927/28 season of most strikes in an English top-flight campaign in all competitions.

While his 63 goals will not be caught, Haaland is more than capable of levelling his tally with the forward to have potentially another nine games left to play providing they can get past Real Madrid in the European Cup semi-final.

Moving onto the Champions League, Haaland currently has 12 goals in Europe’s premier competition this term.

He needs to score just one more to break Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of most goals for a Premier League club [Manchester United] in a single Champions League season.

But in a record that may prove more tricky, he needs to score six more to break the season’s record [17] which was set by Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2013/14 campaign.
