Fixed it for you:rolleyes:

I didn't see tonights game although listened to the radio commentary. Am concerned if GoN was sat on his bum for most of the match as some are saying although others saying he was talking to players and confusing the **** out of them so that's a bit of a mixed message.

We really need some characters to stand up and make a difference from here on in.

On a positive note City are without Debruyne and Rodri for the weekend which should enable us to keep the score down to only 8 or soo_O
Got out of his seat after second goal to confuse the **** out of our cbs and Bueno (slow CB)

Then on his **** playing with iPads to subs

I wonder if they were showing Fabio soft porn? The way he went about hugging every Ip**** player tonight...
They got him fired up in the wrong way…..

Suppose he had to show them his “strong tackle” some how hahaha

Showing them his new high score on candy crush surely? As he cannot be doing football stuff on it as we just get worse as games go on……

Or

Is he watching “football management for dummies” videos on YouTube?

He does it every game he did it a **** load v Luton as did his coaches. And I can only thinking this smis what he is doing at half time talks...

It's like lage again .

He's confusing players with to many messages and not one identity
I was worried about this from his first press conference when he gave some long, multifaceted answer about what style he wanted to play. We have a decent squad, they primarily need a clear pattern play and some passion. We are lacking both and I don't see GON delivering it.

This says it all really. The minute we went 2-0 up, not one single part of my mind, thought, job done, were in the next round.

Quite the opposite, all I could think was, how long before they’re back in it. Perhaps it’s countless years supporting Wolves but you can almost write the script for every game, 10 minutes before it actually happens.

Clearly GO’N doesn’t have long left but I’m utterly terrified of who comes in next. Seeing names like Warnock and Allardyce, christ almighty.

That second half was so bad, so so bad. International footballers who can’t pass a ball. Something is badly wrong. First 20-25 minutes was ok but we can’t keep playing well for 20 minutes, giving soft goals away and feeling sorry for ourselves. Only ends one way. No spine in this team at all.

This is patently nonsense.

We’ve just lost to a team with Lee Evans in. We look slow, incapable of dealing with the slightest tactical switch by the opposition and utterly devoid of passion.

That was appalling.

We cannot surely hold on to the hope that the manager will turn this around. He’s a big problem in an ocean of other big problems.

Woeful.

You are right about the goalie though. He’s the worst I can ever remember.
King is way way worse than Bentley.....

I got it wrong. I could see them coming back but I did think we'd equalise and lose on penalties!

Bentley. 0. I think it would be a serious challenge to think of a worse goalkeeping performance for us.

Hugo - 5. He’s ok. Looks fit and willing. Maybe though, he’d benefit from proper coaching.

Santi - 3 good news. He’s just completed the jog back to the changing rooms. First impressions are important to me as I’m incredibly shallow. I do not care for him.

Toti. 4. At one point in the first half he looked like prime Joleon. In the 2nd half he played like gangsters had done his knees at half time.

Jonny. 3. I miss Jonny. I bet Jonny misses Jonny.

Doherty. 5. Playing right wing. I mean: he was playing RIGHT WING. He was a positive in the first half. In the second half he seemed to be having constant coaching from Gary. I don’t think that helped.

Hwang. 6. Good finish. Works hard. Looks like he’ll score. Like everyone else he fell off a cliff as the game progressed.

Doyle. 4. If he was as good at football as he is at pointing and organising we maybe would have won. Would be interested to see him in a 100m race against Santi. If I had half an hour to spare. Good set pieces. Clearly talented. Physically, I’m not hopeful he has enough.

Traore. 5. He’s a Tasmanian devil. I like that but he’s always going to be a risk of a card with his gangly telescopic legs doing things his brain didn’t ask them to.

Maierhofer. 4. Is that too many? It might be too many. When you play it right to him he can hold it up. Add him to the 100m race, slow.

Sarabia. 2. So talented. Great set prices. Just cannot see how he’s going to be a success in English football. A really bad display after starting quite brightly. From the stands it looks like he shirks 50/50s. Maybe he’s trying to be cute and Nick the ball away but it’s infuriating to see.

Subs.
All terrible except RAN who looked like Gazza compared to the rest of them.

Special mention to Cunha , since that miss against ManU he’s been beyond shameful. What a waste of space.

Gary. Aaaaaargh, he’s useless.

Fans- top atmosphere until they equalisedS after that anger and bewilderment at what we endured.

Ignoring the fact that Ipswich put out a second string side, many just kids, the one thing that stood out for me was just how organised a side they were. They all seemed to know exactly what their individual role was and they played as a team. As I understand it the Ipswich manager is 3 years younger than GON but obviously light years ahead. Is he available?

Every goal was Bentley's fault, two at his near post and a long shot down his throat. Absolutely awful and it's worrying that we're one injury to Sa away from him starting Premier League games. Not as bad a performance as many want to paint it as. Yes it was their second string, it was also our's. Hardly worth of the Armageddon response on here.

If we sack GON, who are you all expecting? It'll be Steve Davis for the rest of the season.
Our second string looks far better than theirs, on paper at least. It’s momentum though. We score two goals the opposition score three. We’re good for one half or 20-30 mins then we drop off markedly.

Fortunately this season we only have to worry about one relegation spot because the other two will be filled by two of the promoted teams.

What happened with Gary pulling our players away so they couldn’t clap to the fans at the end?

Long drive back tonight. Jeff's sat in the back of the limo, flicking through the Mix, worried that Guo is going to blame him. Hobbs is sat in his car, flicking through the Mix, worried that Jeff is going to blame him. O'Neill is on his ipad, happy that he's got a 0-0 draw away at Burton Albion on Championship Manager (easy level). Meanwhile, the players are quietly chatting away on the back of the bus about what they really think. It's going to be fun, fun, fun back in Compton this week.

Villas Boas please
Should have been here before JLo if our bosses had any sense .
Will play to our strength and motivate the squad and we will be harder to beat.
Won’t cry if we can’t spend either and won’t charge a fortune

Yeaaaaa… he’s worse than Bruno, isn’t he.
Yet he gets more excuses and room to prove himself than bruno ever did from so many on here…….

Some even have tried saying he did better than JL…….

Lage was crap, but he at least got us 13th…..

There has been some right *******s spouted to defend him when he is our worst manager in a very very long time!!!

Decent first 20 but absolutely horrendous after that. The only player who looked remotely like they could challenge for a first team place was Traore. And even he looked like a red card waiting to happen.

Bentley at fault for two goals. Santi Bueno having a debut that Neil Emblen would have been proud of. Doyle neat and tidy but very similar in style and impact to Joe Hodge.

The pace, intent and dynamism we showed in pre-season has been replaced by a big void of nothingness. No energy. No discernible style or patterns of play. No strength of character. We didn’t once look like getting back into the game after going behind.

Bentley 4
Jonny 6
S Bueno 4
Toti 5
Doherty 6
Doyle 6
Traore 6
H Bueno 5
Hwang 6
Sasa 5
Sarabia 5

RAN 5
Cunha 5
Fraser 5
Fabio 5
Gomes 5

We had a great opportunity to build on the back end of last season and showed signs of real progress in pre-season. All that has been thrown away through a Summer so thoroughly incompetent, it almost looks like self-sabotage.

Hugely downgraded our Manager and Coaching Staff when just some moderate investment and sticking with Plan B would have kept them. Rushed into a cheap, poorly thought-through replacement who isn’t the right fit for the squad we have. And haven’t bought in one player in any position who is an improvement on what we had.

Going to be a long and depressing Winter with only a relegation battle to ‘look forward to’.

Well said. A shambles of a summer let's be brutally honest. We have a weaker squad than last year where we barely scraped 40 points. We've swapped a highly respected manager with a novice who's picked up a win and a draw from his last 10 Premier League games. We've sold or sacked off most of the dressing-room leaders in the squad (Neves, Coady, Moutinho, Costa, Collins) and we've brought in very few players who are going to make much difference to our starting XI. Apart from that it looks great though...

As you say, madness not listening to Lopetegui's concerns when he had the rug pulled from under his feet for the second-time in 2 months and Jeffrey should have stuck to plan B. It's going to end up costing FOSUN a lot more at the end of the day and predictably so.

Hopefully if nothing else tonight stopped the calls for Bentley to be brought in. He may be a great bloke around the dressing room, but there is a reason he was sat on Bristol's bench. Jose has a brain fade in him, but over a season will offer more good than bad and win you the odd game like Everton.

I don't agree with a lot of what @waveney wolf says but full credit to him, he's been talking up McKenna for ages. He's clearly a very talented young manager, and unlike O'Neill he didn't enjoy the privilege of going straight in at the top. He cut his teeth at a lower level first, which is how these things are supposed to happen.

GO won’t get another premier league job for a significant time after us….. so hope the compo and damage to his managerial reputation was worth it…..,

He needed a league one or championship job after his sacking by Bournemouth, but his arroagance in his abilities has seen him fly too close to the sun and he will have no doubt damaged his employability going forward

To be fair to GON, it was Hobbs who contacted Gary and offered him the job. And we don’t know what Hobbs told him about the state of the place after Lopetegui left. Gary’s verbals are of a man under pressure and perhaps not wanting to admit he’s been over promoted at this stage of his managerial career.

any one with one functioning brain cell knew what had happened at wolves and the state of the club and the mess it was in…. It was all over the media.

He also knows his managerial level…… sorry should know his level, but he is scarily deluded seemingly in this regard. But it was clear to any rational person this job was too big for him, only his own stupidity and deluded ego told him other wise. So that is on him.

But his ego took over and he accepted a job with both hands that he isn’t qualified for.

People do it every day… but he put himself in this mess, he wasn’t forced into it….

They were all forced into doing the best they can as individuals, because there is no team there. Where to start? It's the managers job to build the team and he's having the opposite effect. PLayers do the business on the pitch, but it's the managers job to give them as little as possible to worry about so they know what they need do with the ball before they get it, ideally. And we are so far from that and it's getting worse. Ipswich made changes from their first team too, yet looked more comfortable on the ball than us for much of the match.

I think we have too many inexperienced players around, too. Can see why Kilman and Dawson get automatic places, at least they maintain some composure - though I do think Toti has character, he needs regular game time to develop. Can't be good for the new signings, coming in and being publicly put into that kind of chaos. Managers job to sort that out.

The thing we really do more than other teams is wave our arms in frustration, punch the ground and let our heads drop. Lopetegui improved that immensely, though still some sulky petulance in there. Seems a contrast with opponents who look up for it, get on with it, you know those clips doing the rounds of us coming out of the tunnel looking disinterested? It's so horrible to see it and you know what happens next. The writing is on the wall and it's rare for a team to turn it around from this position with the same manager.

3rd goal they started passing in their own half, did about 8 passes without one challenge, before they scored their goal. So many people were to blame, before Bentley messed up his attempt.
I said the same in a previous post.

No challenge anywhere, they passed around us and the gaps between our players were embarrassing!

As for Bentley, he is more Ford Transit!
