We were decent for 20 minutes, they changed the way they were playing a bit and we just couldn't react.
Yes it's tinkering to much Gon keeps ****ing confusing them on the sidelines saw it after totis goal he was addressing Bueno

Luton mate who is a season ticket holder said there were countless times against luton where either Derry or Gon were giving instructions or notes at injuries etc

The same depressing patterns of play are evident in nearly every game now. We cannot play well for more than a half (half an hour in this case), we have major issues at both ends and the manager does not have any material impact on the match. All relegation hallmarks. Extremely concerning that in 8 games, we’ve conceded 3 or more in half of them. That is untenable, and O’Neill must get us drilled at the back and quickly for the sake of his job. I’m sure however he’ll be more interested in subtly blaming Lopetegui or chucking the players under the bus for losing to a team that were League One reserves in May. Saturday is a truly fearsome prospect.
He has now equalled JL’s number of times taking a score of three or more in less than a quarter of the time!!

WELL DONE GARY!!! he is better at something than JL…… conceeding more than three goals in a game!!

Almost like his Bournemouth team gave away the most chances in the league and he can’t organise a defence……

but that might be a hunch too far and been told a fair few times you can’t judge him on his past or his time at Bournemouth….. so don’t know where this habit of his has appeared from based on the logic I am being told use and not be able to use historical statistics on the guy?????

It was actually us that changed it. During celebrations for second goal GON called a few players over and changed the shape completely and they all looked utterly bemused and we quickly shipped three goals.

Well done boss.

At one point the gk coach was showing Fabio one IPad then GO butted in with either a note pad or another IPad…..

He is ****ing clueless!!! You can see he is panicking because he doesn’t know what the hell to do

He's sitting in the dugout and tinkering there seems no plan it really is whiteboard football, impresses on a power point when you talk about stats but no passion or desire when it comes down to it

That's what jl had passion it's why he left he thought he deserved more

He would have got a red for some of the var decisions against us

I feel right now like Gon doesn't care , I feel right now he doesn't appreciate the football he's presenting to the fans or the fact we are on 4 ****ing points

Yep he's ****ing tinkering
Did the Ipswich reserves keeper do anything in the second half?
Did I get closer to belief than hope in the second half?
GON has now lost me.
I think we should lose him.
He has had VAR bad luck but he isn't going to get this team to defend.

No he did nothing kicked a few things , and picked it up out of the net after Fabio disallowed goal at the end

Our championship winning team would rip us apart... Enough said!!!

We also had a leadership group back then in Coady, Saiss, Ruddy and a young lad called Neves.

Compare that to our current ‘leadership’ group of Kilman, Doc, Sarabia and Bentley (who seems ****y around the place on videos I see - grates on me when he challenges the young players in his ‘lads lads lads’ style).

No comparison and a sad indicator of the decline over recent years.

It’s a double whammy for me…….skill and capability massively downgraded.

Character massively downgraded.

Both really serious issues for us this season.

We need the next Head Coach to be experienced to allow for this shortfall in both areas.

What a thoroughly ****ing depressing evening. My stream was utter **** we have an utter clown as our head coach, we have owners that are just trying to keep us up on the cheap, but by far the most concerning thing is we know our 1st 11 are **** but our 2nd 11 are even worse. To think we had £75Mill just with Silva & Cunha tells you everything you need to know about the way we’ve been run these last few years. We are going down unless we act and sack GON very very soon.
This might cheer you up…

I got home late when we were 2 up … only to see Ipswich score their first. My dodgy stream, then showed that damn goal on a constant loop for the next 20 minutes.

Makes it slightly easier when we’re this **** though because I don’t think I give a **** anymore. Nobody and nothing to root for at present.

I noticed that. The moment after we scored the second goal he had the players over for one of his little tactical sermons, which then almost immediately led to a dissolution of our shape, sloppy passing, visible confusion and a gradual retreat towards our own byline. Why on Earth did he feel the need to say anything - it was working! His subs were baffling again, like he couldn't see the most pressing problem which was a lack of pace and organisation in central defence.

Remember my kids shouting at Punch at a Punch and Judy show. To go mad at GON would be not too dissimilar.

You can't rip the heart out of a team, recruit by seemingly pulling names out of a hat and perpetually have no cohesive playing style and expect to win. So we didn't.

It didn't help that Ipswich wanted it so much more and that our players are incapable of doing the basics.

Saturday is going to be grim.

Oh and don't get me started on Fabio hugging and high fiving opposition players as we're capitulating. One looked quite startled when Fabio ran over with hands raised skywards and I don't blame him.

Yep, that was it. Bueno especially didn’t seem to have a clue what he was being asked to do. Absolutely baffling. He’s so far out of his depth, a total fraud.

The captain tonight, Bentley warned me something was wrong.

Not one outfield please was up to the armband?

Confused Bueno to ****.

Keep changing shapes and i think he was talking about the defensive line but no idea..

Well, we have 2 Bueno's now, so it's confusing for everyone. We could call them "Fast Bueno" and "Slow Bueno" from now on, as thats the easiest way to tell them apart.

The Bentley choice made sense

But he has shown with his tactical huddle
At 2:0’and the speed of the deterioration of the performance from there that his coaching and what he is saying at half time is as many of us thought a major issue and why we fall apart in the second half.

As to destroy the team that was working so well in such a short amount of time, Christ the damage he achieves in 15 is now clear to see

My verdict...if we had there number 9 ( proper center forward ) , and there number 20 ( Hutchinson) , and there manager ( who I wanted after Bruno) , we d be a good team .
We looked good at 2 0 , then the players stopped playing..can't blame o Niel for that .
We have several forwards playing tonight who simply arnt good enough.
Sasa awful.. Bentley worse

Bunch of losers. Fosun has brought this on us. Buck stops at the top. Lots of fans predicted what would happen this season, despite the bright start against Yernited. I'd be amazed if we stay up with this lot in charge.
As for Ipswich; a team with a plan and playing with confidence plays against our lot. Only going to be one outcome!

That's a pile of ****e Gary honestly that make me feels even worse.. best get on the ****ing train to championship

It's a team he put together he chose that team and 10 changes ...

He didn't have to play all the ****ing new players out of fitness

He could have started sasa and Fabio together he didn't have to play Jonny and doc just one

Woeful

Every goal was Bentley's fault, two at his near post and a long shot down his throat. Absolutely awful and it's worrying that we're one injury to Sa away from him starting Premier League games. Not as bad a performance as many want to paint it as. Yes it was their second string, it was also our's. Hardly worth of the Armageddon response on here.

If we sack GON, who are you all expecting? It'll be Steve Davis for the rest of the season.
I'd rather Steve Davis takes us down than the fraud **** GON. He sat on his **** all match! Get rid.

This is patently nonsense.

We’ve just lost to a team with Lee Evans in. We look slow, incapable of dealing with the slightest tactical switch by the opposition and utterly devoid of passion.

That was appalling.

We cannot surely hold on to the hope that the manager will turn this around. He’s a big problem in an ocean of other big problems.

Woeful.

You are right about the goalie though. He’s the worst I can ever remember.

And two Gomes's. I looked at the scorers and saw Hwang and Gomes and assumed it was Joao, not Toti.

Ipswich reserves were fitter, more skilful, showed more desire and were better organised. To think we were pretty much outplayed by a bunch of youngsters when we must have had over £100 mil worth of 'talent' on display. Frankly shocking and you wonder where we go from here. Our defence was all over the place, mf non existent and we saw all 5 of our strikers tonight and Hwang was the only one to come out with some credit. Tbh even if we had had Dawson, Kilman and Lemina on tonight I'm not too sure it would have made any difference in the end. I just pray Man City are happy to get 3 or 4 goals and then take their foot off the pedal because if they really want it it could be a cricket score on Saturday.

I have never been afraid to losr
In a two team or two person sport you get a winner and loser more often than not

But gutless capitulation because of inept tactics is inexcusable. GON clearly tinkers yo much and ****s it up

Well off you go I have seen enough. This squad is better than it’s showing .

Next manager to keep it simple and play to the strengths

This is why Lopetegui was complaining, the squad is so, so poor…

It feels like Shi has dismantled everything good about this club in the span of 3 months
Fixed it for you:rolleyes:

I didn't see tonights game although listened to the radio commentary. Am concerned if GoN was sat on his bum for most of the match as some are saying although others saying he was talking to players and confusing the **** out of them so that's a bit of a mixed message.

We really need some characters to stand up and make a difference from here on in.

On a positive note City are without Debruyne and Rodri for the weekend which should enable us to keep the score down to only 8 or soo_O
