Anyone who went to West Ham on Saturday and had a beer probably should check their accounts...

The bit that irritates me is:

West Ham said it was out of their control as kiosks are run by third party operator Delaware North

This is just so UK 21st century, the way these huge businesses avoid responsibility by outsources to outsourcers who outsource just a bit more. You can never find whose accountable.

We should be able to do the same as individuals. Outsource our bill payments so when we don't pay them, just reply "No, not my problem, contact ABC Bill Payment Inc.". Or after being hauled in for verbally abusing my boss, "No, I can't be held responsible, because my mouth is run by another company. XYX Mouth Operations Ltd, you have to speak to them about it. Though I think they may have employed another company "Acme Word Choice" who are responsible for the words that come out of the mouth. I'm really sorry I can't help you, ****face. " :D

There was a thread about this afew weeks ago and yep West Ham fans getting ripped off but that's London for you.
Strictly speaking, they are allowing themselves to be taken advantage of.

No one has to buy the products at those prices. If you continue to do so then what incentive is there to reduce the prices?

Get your beer outside. Don’t buy the crisps. It shouldn’t be hard.

Overheads in London are stupidly high though. I was in a Fuller's pub last week that was selling craft beers for between £7 and £8 per pint.

I understand many of the attractions of being Dahn Sarf but Fuller's, craft or not, oh dear me. Sorry Wicked. Hope you were on something foreign, midlands or northern. ;-))

£6.70 for a pint of Neck Oil on Saturday at All Bar One at New Street.
Nearly fainted as I waved my card at the machine.
A lot of places in Brum are getting that way, go up to Brindley Place and it’s £5 a pint minimum.

£6.50 a pint at Edgbaston if I recall correctly. Total rip off, not just London!

Used to be a pound for a bottle of pilsner in the Dorchester in 1995.

We've lost our way.

Correct. We are rinsed before opening the doors down here, business rates and extortionate rent means often why some parts are barren. West Ham don't have much excuse though given how cheap the ground is.

To be fair to West Ham (l hate saying that) the ground owners set the catering prices.

I don't imagine that the porno chuckle brothers and Mrs Dildo would seek to charge much less though.
