The flat returns on turf this weekend with the Lincoln Handicap amongst a great card at Doncaster racecourse.
The Lincoln has a maximum of 22 runners this Saturday but the feature still has 69 runners at this early stage.

Aside from the Lincoln on Saturday afternoon there’s also numerous Class 2’s at Doncaster.
The going is already reported as soft but with rain forecast throughout Friday and into the race day it’s going to be testing conditions for many.
With big fields currently we are likely to see many non-runners who don’t want to face the inevitable heavy going.
There is however value to be had in these races with heavy ground loving horses set to takeover the odds from those eventually opting out.
King’s Lynn ridden by Oisin Murphy (centre) wins the Betway Achilles Stakes at Haydock Park Racecourse on May 29, 2021
GETTY
Of the races offered this early, the 6f Pertemps Network Cammidge Trophy Stakes Class 1 is the ideal race to whet the appetite even further for the flat season this year.
The frontrunners in the market have all been tried and tested on soft ground but King’s Lynn (7/1) and Fast Response (16/1) have both got great form on heavy.
But King’s Lynn, in the colours of the King also goes really well when fresh and he’s not been seen since October at Ascot in the Group 1 Champions Sprint Stakes.
Jim Crowley riding Wanees (blue) win The bet365 Esher Cup Handicap at Sandown Park on April 22, 2022 in Esher
GETTY
Despite 69 runners entered, you can still make a case for Wanees, trained by Charlie Hills and ridden by Jim Crowley.
The colours of the Shadwell Estate Company are often prominent in big races and this four-year-old has the chance to improve in this big race.
Having been gelded in August he returned from a short break to win at Haydock in the Old Boston Handicap.
He’s even won on soft ground and it’s difficult to rule out perfectly deployed tactics with Crowley on board.
