They can have him

for 50 million.

not a chance we are selling one of the best attacking wing backs in the league .

I love how lazy is the journalism is after we show interest in a Rb who is actually a versatile player and are a player short at lb

Honestly laughable that Spurs fans think they could get him for £12m. He’s been pretty much ever present for us.

30m i would sell him!

He's a massive arsenal fan so unlikely
He's a professional footballer. If his terms are good, he'll go. Being an Arsenal fan really won't come into it.
So we get 30 mil and who do we sign for that amount that is as good or better ?

Not saying I agree with the figure, but I think Jesus Corona is meant to be available for about that. 30m isn't outside the realm of getting an improvement for Doc. 12m is just a ****ing joke though.

At 28 he is at the peak of his value, in the later half of his prime years, so this would be the most we'll ever get for him statistically.

Youcef Atal
Zeki Celik
Jesus Corona (Mendes link)

I wouldn't be offering him out for sale but I think @ 30 million I would take it...but the quoted figure of 12 million is way way off!

So we sell a key player to a competitor for a very reasonable price at a time when the player who would replace him is injured..

It’s a no from me José.

Lets just hope we don't stand still in this window and sell a player or two but replace them with promising players . As promising players doesn't guarantee you 20 goals a season or 6/7 clean sheets or 10 assists . So Wolves need to really think long and hard here if some of these possible sales are true. As if you have less proven players you go backwards . look at the likes of Everton, Man Utd, Leicester . Yes Man U finished the season well but IMO only because they got Fernanades in who was a proven player that made them tick. They didn't sign Gibbs white to play that role as he is not ready .

Lets hope we don't stand still as we will be struggling to fill the subs bench at the moment.

If it was for that price, I’d expect someone else coming the other way in a Mourinho/Mendes cut price special.

There is absolutely no way we will sell Doherty and especially not for £12m. It’s absolutely laughable that it’s even being reported. He’s one of Nuno’s favourite players, he plays pretty much whenever he’s available, he’s been here 10 years, we only have one right wing back, we have no need to sell, he’s in a pretty specialised position as wing back here, he’s under contract until 2023... the media and these “in the know” journos do my head in. Nobody knows anything when it comes to Wolves, they just spout complete and utter nonsense. £12m :tearsofjoy: I assume they’re selling Aurier for about £5m then. Laughable.

Especially as we sold Costa for that much.

Just another rumour.
We are highly unlikely to sell Doc, a key element of our team, for less than the cost of any (unproven in our team) replacement (e.g. Arsenal reportedly want a minimum of £20M for AMN).

We got much more than that for Costa. £16m plus reportedly another £5m as Leeds were promoted (incidentally we supposedly got a similar additional sum from Flum for Cav when they were promoted).

I agree most of your post. I wouldn't pay 5p for Aurier though. All of the Spuds fans l know say (rightly in my view) that he's utter dog pooh..

Yeah and rumours are they still want £20m for him... but are then going to sign Doc at £12m to replace him! It’s so unbelievably ridiculous I can’t believe it’s even made it to “print”. Really wound me up this one has :tearsofjoy:

Right up there in the utter BS stakes with us loaning Raul to Juve with a right to buy for £40M...

I would think 30 million at least on todays market as wing backs are hard to find . Also if players form the Champ are quoted at 20/25Million then surely a proven Prem player is 3o million at least.

Sky saying no bid yet -why would Spurs make it public as we don't do that sort of thing.

I see it's tongue in cheek, but if we did ever sign him I'd feel uncomfortable about it.
Great goalscorer but I ****ing hate him.
Yeah l’d hate to have a Golden Boot winner at Wolves too.

Doesn't it show if we are selling to a club that finished one place ahead of us then we are not challenging the top six anytime soon if this is true.

Would Spurs offload their players to rivals to make them better .

The Mike McGrath telegraph aeticle is a lovely bit of clickbait - Says Doc is nearing a move in the title, then goes on to say in the article that Spurs plan to firm up their interest.

Guesswork.

For £30 million, I'd suggest selling. Every player has his price. But £12 million is obviously ludicrous in the modern market. He's 80% of Matty Cash...

FWIW, I'd happily lay 1-100 that he's being sold
