According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, however, the Blues tried to beat their London rivals with a last-ditch effort for the Brazil international.
However, the North Londoners have reached a “full agreement” with Everton and the 25-year-old “on personal terms”.
The versatile forward is expected to undergo a medical today in Brazil and will soon link up with Tottenham.
Romano tweeted: “Chelsea made an attempt to hijack Richarlison deal before agreement between Everton and Tottenham, in place since this morning for £60m.
