He's 19 and was signed from Ipswich, so wasn't a free agent.
When can he make a first team debut?
He’s an academy player he won’t be playing in the first team.
There isn’t a transfer window for them

Edit
He left Ipswich in the summer after refusing to sign a new contract

So does that mean he's a free agent and can play for first team if selected?

Hello All,
I'm always a little confused by the intricacies of transfer window rules, but am even more confused by the announcement of our signing Tawanda Chirewa a 19 year old from Ipswich Town link here:
Wolves snap up midfielder Tawanda Chirewa from Ipswich Town

How is that even possible now the transfer window is closed?

The move would have been agreed ages ago however it wouldn’t be official until the training compensation was agreed.

A little bit like we would sign a first team player at 11:59 but it would be subject to a medical etc.

Leo Shahar had agreed to join Newcastle months before he was official

Thanks Supergran and Giantwolf.
You can see why I was confused, and for a first, I've seen, have come up with a completely satisfactory answer.
It's always difficult communicating in the printed word of a Forum, so thanks for understanding the question and providing the answer.

He’s been bought in for the u21s not the first team he’ll be part of that group for training and playing
Obviously if he stands out he’ll be in contention to move up to the first team but not for this season probably.
