Not a bad shout that actually, can play wide right or right wing back

Don't think we'll spend £15m on a 28 year old.

He's got a great long throw too. Might need a Hoff type player for those :p

Always thought he's done well for West Ham wherever he's played.
Could do a lot worse.

Too much to pay for a player that spent the majority of last season injured AND is still currently injured now.

If we could get him for under £10,000,000, then maybe.

So let me try and understand.
Last year, many were making the case for "proven championship players" and that if we didn't sign a number of these, we would fall to our doom.
This summer, it's premier journey man?
Are we doomed if we don't sign these premier players?

Rather get someone who is moving up, young enough, with a realistic chance of a good resale value.

I like him a lot, in fact, he's my favorite English player. Can play wing back, winger or striker. Very objective player, can score all kinds of goals.

Rate him but I’m sure he’s on a hefty contract so I can’t see it happening.

Too old. Too injury prone and out of form last season.

People will be suggesting Janmaat next.

Wouldn't say no personally, but we won't sign him at 28 and on his wages- no way.

Too old at 28?

Should be coming into his prime? o_O
A 4+ year deal and with his injury record he'd have no resale value whatsoever. It'd be a waste of money and not Fosun's M.O. at all.

When fit and on his game the guy is virtually unplayable.

Absolute beast.

Unfortunately those days are 3 or 4 games a season.

When we were all singing "Your just a **** Bakary Sako" did you not believe it?

I did - Not for me and definitely not for £15 million or to put it another way - 1 Ruben Neves!

Two year deal with an option of a third which can be activated by the club.

West Ham "close" to signing Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson for club record £40 million.

Are Gold & Sullivan trying to join "Big Six"? Looks like they'll spend approaching £150 million this summer.

Says it for me as well.
We have an unfortunate record of buying players with injury history or problems.
Young, pacy and fit should always be our aim when splashing the cash. :)

**** or bust for them.
Unless they've got outside investment then I can't see them repeating this.

If they dont achieve a significant improvement in performances and league position then they'll not spend this kind of money again (even if they could).

I'm not convinced by Pellegrini and could see everything from top to bottom unravelling next season, culminating in them putting the club up for sale.

If he was three years younger and injury free you would take him at that price, now at his age and injury record it would be a gamble at half that price. No thanks.

No thank you. Silly price and WH getting rid for very good reason.

Too much of a gamble at that price, think we could arguably do better too for that sort of money for a wing back and don’t think he suits us to play in the forward positions.
