He was superb yesterday - and needed to be. The big boys are rumoured to be looking at him but it would be great to snaffle him from that poxy club, he'd cost a few quid though!

He's OK. I think we can do better especially for the money they'd want. Chelsea have a buy back clause on him and he cost Bournemouth over 25m

I was impressed with him over both games.
It seemed as if he made 4 or 5 headed clearances in the first ten minutes .
He would probably cost too much when our priorities lie elsewhere.

Agreed Ake is quality, always rated him but unfortunately buying ANY quality established prem player is going to cost an absolute fortune. I don’t think we will be in the position to do that for a few years. I think we have to find young gems or the odd quality foreign player for now.

I really rate Ake, and as such watched him really closely when we played at home. He had a stinker with Raul running him ragged. Good player, but he didn't have a good game against us first time round. Just slightly better than Mings on that occasion.

Ake was the man of the match yesterday. I'd love him in our side, but as others have stated it'd be a push to get him to come here.
Saying that. That's the level we need to be looking at to improve this current team. We're not going to be buying squad players going forward, so anyone that comes in needs to be better than what we have already.
I think our days of spending £10-£15 million on a player are gone.
