Here is what I hope will become the main thread for this season's TV games.

For the info, there will be 220 games broadcast; up 20 on the 200 in the rights package following a deal between the PL, Clubs and the broadcasters. It is to make up for there being no fans let in, until at least October 1st.

That split officially is:
  • Sky Sports - 140 (+12)
  • BT Sport - 58 (+6)
  • Amazon Prime Video - 22 (+2)
Amazon Prime Video's 2 full game weeks in December 2020 are
  • Game 12 (Chelsea at Molineux)
  • Game 16 (Manchester United at Old Trafford)
The extra 20 fixtures as announced this morning, are for two further game weeks in January 2021 - which happen to be:
  • Game 18 (Everton at Molineux)
  • Game 19 (West Bromwich Albion at Molineux!)
The 1st set of picks (not sure how many specifically), will be announced at some point next week and with the deal of the 20 extra games agreed, no games will be broadcast free-to-air this season.

Very surprised our opening match against Sheff Utd isn't on TV. Isn't it the only match on Monday 14th? I initially thought it might be because this is a Sky Sports only announcement, but Arsenal have revealed they're on BT Sport too, so seemingly it's not on.

This irritated me no end:

With capacity crowds a long way off, lifting the 3pm blackout makes sense for the time being. It must, however, be a temporary change.

No, how about we actually make an informed choice that embraces technology rather than just unilaterally shunting back in a blackout that made zero sense to start with?

I didn't even know that four four ****ing two magazine had been appointed the arbiters of how people must consume the game.

Why have they only picked certain games for sky? What happened to the supposed blackout of the 3pm kick off contract? Reports said that all PL games would be televised from 12th September

I’d guess this is Sky picking their games for the tv schedule as normal. All games not picked for TV will stay as 3pm kick offs and probably be televised.

Looks like BT and amazon have picked theirs also though? Weird.

They get picks dependent on package so they’ve picked the games they definitely want to show as their is no agreement yet on who would show the remaining games.

18:00? We won't or rather the big 6 (knowing Sky) won't have 2 hours of pre match coverage will they? Or is this what they do on Mondays.

Yes, within about 90 minutes of the announcement being originally made. Absolute barstools!
So basically all those supporter clubs and the FSF etc campaigned to do Sky a massive ****ing favour
