Obviously there’s middle ground but I was talking extremes. We tend to start most games quite cagey and sit back, this has been an extreme case of that.
You could turn up and press high, try to put play City and they’d pick you off and then get in behind with ease. Or you sit deep and try to hope for 1 or 2 chances on the break. Either way, it’ll likely end up with the same result.
If this wasn’t against Wolves I’d almost be enjoying City’s performance so far. Some of these passes and runs off the ball. It’s another level and that’s no criticism of us at all.
