Never thought they were going to score. GON has learnt so much from the first game against them

180 minutes of football against them since of them playing their tippy tappy stuff that gets everyone wet, then launching it in the box when that doesn't work, and barely challenged Sa once

Proper warrior job out there today. Love this team's attitude. Love that this manager knows both the pretty and ugly sides of the game...he played for Pulis and Allardyce ffs, he knows what winning a match like this looks like.

Hoping the injury news in the coming days isn't too bad.

Gosh, the FA cup at Wembley would be pretty great...

As soon as I heard the draw my nerves were 10x as worse. After 2019, I thought it would be a long time before that sort of opportunity arose again, and yes Coventry are decent, but come on, if we turn up we're going to Wembley. Molineux needs to be right at it as well, which it will be.

What an effort by the players, especially in that final 25 minutes, aided by a great atmosphere to get them over the line. Might be a disappointing night on the injury front, but we can't just write off the cup this season and with that quarter-final draw before kick-off to boot. Brighton very impressive in dominating the ball and moving the play around, but we managed to snuff them out with a really concentrated and determined performance.

Horrific to watch I thought, not sure it’s going to be worth all the injuries. We’ve burnt Hwang, needed a rest. But they were pretty hopeless even though they dominated. Come on me babbies! Let’s get to another semi at least!

Unbelievable result

Not the best performance . Hwang really Dissapointing.

Whole of the back 5 were really good - as was Doyle and Gomes.

subs all did well.

Not sure Dawson gets his place back from bueno

Agree with that, think their best chance (by a distance) was for the keeper at the end, can't remember them having anything clear cut other than that

Great battling performance. Brighton had loads of the ball but didn't create loads really. Rode our luck at times but we were always going to need it tonight with the XI out there.

Missed the entire game up to the last two minutes of injury time - when their keeper missed a sitter.

Sounded from the commentary that the injuries might be piling up. Gomes pointing to his hamstring and something wrong with Hwang?

Brilliant defensive display. Bueno was noticeably good.... Kilman was unnoticeably good (forgot he was playing until the header from the corner near the end). Ait-Nouri is the best LWB in the league. We have three absolutely top notch CMs in Lemina, Gomes and Doyle... Neto and Sarabia quality... steadied the ship. Sa solid, if untested due to the excellence in front of him.

Into a QF against Coventry, top half of the league. Things are looking great.

If only they hadn't put a woman on co-comms to ruin it for everyone......

Pretty much defence v attack for the majority of it and the defence won. Despite all their possession we didn’t allow them a clear sight on goal.

I’ll give Hwang an apology for the peters I was giving him as he obviously wasn’t fit.

Performance isn’t everything in the cup, winning is and we did.

Some immense performances at the back and Santi looks a player.

Doyle MOM though.

Well played lads

Hwang pulled his hamstring early in the second half. Really should have come off at ht as he was completely ineffective in the first

Was going to come over for Luton and Arsenal but there appears to be a scheduling conflict with the semi-finals- what’s the allocation at Wembley?

Tough watch but a fantastic result and we defended brilliantly. Thought Doherty, Bueno and Kilman in particular were very good in that respect.

Sa 6 (not tested)
Kilman 8
Bueno 8
Toti 7
Doherty 8
Lemina 7
Gomes 7
Doyle 7
RAN 7
Bellegarde 6 (looked good when we got him on the ball, which unfortunately very often)
Hwang 5 (didn’t look fit even before the hamstring and gave the ball away countless times)

Neto 7
Sarabia 6
Traore 7
Semedo N/A
Dawson N/A

So pleased with our season so far but the squad is looking very thin attacking wise. We’re a Neto injury away from having to play a front two of Sarabia and one of Bellegarde or Fraser.

What an opportunity we have though. Just can’t afford any more injuries.

We are winning games that the Wolves of old would lose. It’s not pretty, but it’s bloody effective.

Worried that we are absolutely flogging this small team to death though. Injuries are starting to show.
Was going to post the same mate. We need proper cover in the summer. Surely the people above need to know this.

Gary has a great opportunity to take us to an FA Cup semi-final now! Great defensive display against a Brighton side who, while impressive on the eye, offered little in the final third. It was an undoubtedly leggy display. Hopefully Hwang and Gomes aren't too bad.
