Watched a bit of the Chelsea game yesterday and this kid took that game by the scruff of the neck and imposed himself on it. After going a goal down, won the ball high up the pitch, bit of interplay and then played the ball to Cunha for the equaliser.

The kid is a class act!

I love how he wins balls that he really shouldn’t be winning, just goes in there and says “nope that’s my ball mate” and sneaks and wins it back.

I think you put this perfectly, he wins balls, he doesn't tackle. He goes shoulder to shoulder with someone and moves them off the path of the ball so he can take control. I think this must be something GON and the coaches have taught him as from memory i think he got a few yellows for sliding tackles early on. His style of play will always attract cards as he's a modern day enforcer, but I do think he's been shown a better way to go about recovering possession.
