Pretty much.

We came out of the gate making terrible passes.

Cunha got injured.

We didn't step up then. Bad movement off the ball.

Bad defending on a corner leading to a goal.

A bit better until half.

Came out after half on fire. Dominated the game for 27 minutes.

No final product.

Brentford gets a chance off the 3rd bad pass from Sa in the game. They score.

Wolves basically let the clock wind down. Neto and Sarabia were gassed at this point and had nothing left to give.

Might be the worst performance under GON, we were second best from the first minute. You can't play well every week but that's 2 poor home performances on the bounce and we've started leaking from corners too, which we were previously strong on.

Cunha's injury a huge concern, Brentford doubled Neto second half and therefore, largely stifled him. The amount of crosses that failed to beat the first man from the rest was appalling.

Someone needs to have a word with Sa too, we're just playing ourselves into trouble.

That one’s on Shi. The absence of a centre forward for us, and the presence of one for them, was the decisive factor.
Sa and Dawson were the decisive factors. Gifted them two goals and could easily have been more gifts, need a bloody good striker to make the difference when you're giving that away

Yep.

Just as we've exploited other team's weaknesses, now another team have exploited ours. When your keeper is making mistakes with the ball at his feet, the option of a target man to relieve the pressure is handy. Not O'Neil's fault - we know he wanted one, but his hands are tied behind his back with a threadbare squad, the lowest wage bill outside the bottom three and a spoonful of our infamous moving goalpost medicine to top it off.

But nobody is allowed to complain about it because 'it's modern football' and 'this is how we've been for the last 40 years' so we aren't allowed to expect or even hope for any better, apparently.

DId we create a chance after the disallowed goal ?
Never looked like scoring. Fraser anonymous, RAN's final touch hopeless. Sarabia did well.

Poor all round today and in my opinion only Sarabia deserves more than 5/10. We weren’t great with Cunha on the pitch but bringing on Bellegarde was utterly futile. He didn’t replace Cunha in any way shape or form and without wanting to get on his back I’m struggling to see what he offers to us? We got what we deserved but a word for VAR which had it not been in operation May have seen us mount a fight back. Whatever happened to the ‘clear and obvious’ errors it was supposedly introduced for? Was the linesman not spotting Dawsons shoelace offside a clear and obvious error? I hate it with a passion.

2 home defeats in a row is annoying and to have now conceded 39 from 24 League games is not good enough, if we are to make that next leap forward.

Both goals were self-inflicted and no matter what we threw at them, we we’re never going to score, apart through an Offside leg.

Extremely disappointing afternoon, knowing we did what we did last week!

Devoid of ideas and a few well under par
I had a feeling this would happen today just hope Cunha is not too seriously injured we looked deflated without him

Disappointing. Sa, Dawson and Bellegarde particularly poor and thought Neto was quite selfish at times. Was always going to be tough to stay unbeaten against a side for 4 games in a short period of time but very much a self-inflicted defeat.

Started the second half well and if we’d have got on level terms then, may well have gone on to win it. Grew increasingly disjointed as the game went on and didn’t have the options on the bench to change things. The formation at the end and aiming long balls at Lemina was fairly depressing.

Sa 4
Dawson 4
Kilman 5
Toti 6
Semedo 5
Lemina 5
Gomes 5
RAN 5
Sarabia 5
Cunha 5
Neto 5

Bellegarde 4
Doyle 5
Fraser 5

Just have to hope Cunha’s injury isn’t significant as we took a gamble in the window on him and Neto staying fit for the rest of the season.

A real missed opportunity.

Are you watching Jeff Shi (yes he was). Hopefully he can see the mess we are in with just one injury. I hope Cunha isn’t out for too long!

Bellegarde. - never a premier
league player in a million years.

Typical Wolves home performance against a team lower in the table. I always worry when we have more possession than the opposition... Just hope Cunha isn't our for long, and Hwang is OK...

Frustrating every part of it, sick of seeing Brentford and there tactics/cheating whenever they go ahead, really are the worst team to watch in the Premier League, have a feeling they'll go next few seasons.

Felt really flat when Cunha went off let's hope it's not serious and hope hwang is back soon.

Once they went 1-0 up it was always going to be a typical Frank performance where players drop like flies then miraculously recover, cynical fouls committed.

Referee was abysmal today.
Felt like a game where we just weren't going to score, had some good play in the second half but never felt like we'd score, if only dawson delayed his run by half a second we would have had a totally different game.

All in all frustrating but these weeks happen hopefully better next week.

On a side note Dave Edwards is a bloody awful commentator.

Be curious to know why Hwang wasn't in the squad and Son has come on after an hour and set the winner up for Spurs.

First half we were absolutely awful and could have been 2 or 3 down at half time. Second half dominated but we could have played all week and not scored. Passing and deliveries woeful all game. Neto gave up after the second goal which was very disappointing. A poor poor performance against a poor side.

Also we could have done with that striker today, not fair on Fraser tbh.

No goals conceded from corners all season and now 3 in 3 games. Dunno what Sa and Dawson were doing, same for the second goal.

A replacement for Dawson very high on the summer shopping list.

I agree Sa had one of his brain fart games, but Dawson was punished for one mistake. The problem throughout was the lack of a central threat once Cunha went off. There were plenty of decent balls into the box that Bellegarde of all people was expected to get on the end of. Mainly though, we had to slow the play down, go backwards, let their low block settle, because there was no one between the sticks. Brentford on the other hand have one chance in the second half, and it's Toney of course putting himself in the right position to score. Sobering stuff today, because we otherwise didn't play badly.

Huffed and puffed but really didn’t put a glove on them.

Some were believing the hype and it bit us on the ****

Credit Brentford for doing a job on us.

They've had a week off, that's a very weak excuse.
Well they looked mentally knackered today and offered nothing after the last 3 massive games ! Week off or not, the passing, movement and will to get at Brentfords back line was poor. Reminded me of last season tbh..... clueless, jaded and nothing much to give !

Can you think of a player more out of his depth in a gold shirt than Bellegarde.

I’ll go first: Vallejo.

JRB Runs around a lot but; Lightweight. Loses the ball nearly every single touch unless he goes backwards.

Awful against Utd. Awful again today. O’Neil realised his F up at bring him on at half time but didn’t have the guts to hook him so sacrificed Toti instead and totally changed shape in a panic.

I don’t mind JRB having 10min here or there, but he’s nowhere near the standard required to play a significant part of a premier league game.

At least they’ve all been in the press telling us how great they are over the last 6 days.

We got what we deserved.

The team came out for a PL match with their hands in their pockets and barely got a kick for 10 minutes against a team on a rubbish run, but who were bang at it from the get-go. Having somehow survived a series of self-inflicted chances, we then didn't bother - for a third game in a row - to attack a corner coming into the centre of our six-yard box.

GON as guilty as anyone of taking this one easy by giving Hwang a weekend off and then deciding we could win with 10 by putting on the proven failure of a forward that is JR Bellagarde... but at least he suits the way we want to play more than Sasa....

Sa awful all game and a huge factor in the majority of chances that Brentford were able to have. It's really astounding how a goalkeeper in the modern game at this level can neither kick the ball long anywhere near one of his teammates nor continually fail to avoid passing along the floor to the most under pressure player out there.

We could have played all night without any Wolves players knowing how to a) play a well-weighted final pass and b) another Wolves player having the composure to convert that pass.

League season essentially over now unfortunately.

2 poor goals against. Cuhna going off and Hwang not available made it difficult up front, end of first half and start of second we created some chances and maybe if Dawson had been inside we may have gone on to get something from the game, brought Fraser on to be a focus for the attack, but then didn’t really get him into the game(not really his fault just not much service to him).
Our more attacking style means we’re a bit more open at the back, but we’ve got the balance right more often than not, todays 2 against entirely avoidable and no one to blame but ourselves

Have you created an account just to bash Bellegarde?

No Cunha, no party. January transfer window looking worse by the day.

Sa and Dawson both absolute garbage. Trust neither will be anywhere near our starting XI next season.

Not pilling on, but Bellegarde would struggle in the Championship. FFP losses on him are going to seriously bite us on the ass.

Sarabia probably our best player.

GON didn't look like he had the boys dialed-in. That start was horrific.
