Because nobody knows what to do about it. I'm tempted to think that it's not being looked at until the memory of the day in question is distant enough to give a slap on the wrist.

Perhaps the decision makers are waiting for a big distraction before announcing anything soft. If, say, Everton go into administration and are instantly relegated as a result, that would dominate all football discussion and be the perfect time to fine West Brom £25k with a warning to improve their stewarding.

Well January. Two months does seem to be about standard, but I guess that's for brawls on the pitch, players assaulting officials etc, this is much more complex as it's really about multiple stewarding failures and maybe ticket sales process too. I can see why it would take a while.

The FA are waiting until the the end of the season to punish them and deduct them 20 points for fan disorder and intimidation of spectators from non human form. The alien albion are set to be banned from participation due to a numerical advantage to their mutant goalkeepers with many more fingers.

Initially I did say that it wasn't odd, these things do take a long time while the men on blazers finish their cigars first. However, even in my book it's got ridiculous now. They're seem to be waiting until their fate is known for next season, but why would they do that? What are the most likely punishments, a fine, restrictions to attendance at future Cup games, actually having some decent stewarding and proper ticketing arrangements? Nothing that needs to wait this long surely

There is a flaw in your cunning plan. Penalty shoot outs are a lottery, so Albion are as likely to win as they are to lose.

For me, in an ideal world they'd win the semi and play Norwich in the final, be cruising in the final, 2-0 or 3-1 up until the 80th minute. Then they get taken apart and spanked out of sight.

Unfortunately, I don't want them in the final because I don't want them to win, and I don't want Leeds to win. I hate Leeds.

So tonight I'd like to see Southampton win by about 8 or 9 and then give Leeds a good shafting.
