I called it from the Man Utd post game presser…….We have a real stench of saints and Nathan jones from last season about us don't we.
I called it from the Man Utd post game presser…….We have a real stench of saints and Nathan jones from last season about us don't we.
The tweaks klopp made weren’t even high intelligence tweaks…… like Brighton and palace they attack either side of the right back and flood the other side forcing the CB into making high pressure calls that are seemingly wrong more often than right……
If we had gone back 5, taken nelson off and a forward brought on DOC and Toti, I think we see that game out
Similarities? Identical twins I would have said.Just like the Southampton manager remember…… read his interviews, you will see the scary and worrying similarities.
That momentum may not have come if we were 2-0 up. Being behind by 1 goal is psychologically totally different to being 2 downYes, but the chances and momentum sways from our goals would have been in the first half. Meaning that one of the misses wouldn’t have broken up the rate or consecutive nature of the three Liverpool goals as all our chances were first half.
As I said, if cunha misses at 1:1 or when it was 1:2 I 100% agree.
But it wasnt
If, if, if. If cunha had an eye for goal (a lopetegui signing by the way) all of this is academic as the game is won at half-time.
If that was true then it would be fine. You win some, you lose some and sometimes missed chances are costly. However, in my humble opinion, we would not have won even at 2-0 up because we would still have been sent out with the same daft tactics for the second half. That's the scary bit.If, if, if. If cunha had an eye for goal (a lopetegui signing by the way) all of this is academic as the game is won at half-time.
In case you didn't realise, Liverpool scored three in the second half.
Fresh half, means both teams started with a fresh chance to take control of the game. That momentum may not have come if we were 2-0 up. Being behind by 1 goal is psychologically totally different to being 2 down
We don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but any squad full of players who have played at the highest level for their clubs and countries, may just be thinking (possibly) the current management team is not really what they are used to.Which is awfully strange as we've had really strict managers who did not let the players express themselves - we have been tied to a system since promotion with zero flair.
So why are these players suddenly ignoring the managers instructions and doing their own thing??
Shouldn't bother playing the first half then, has no influence on the outcomeFresh half, means both teams started with a fresh chance to take control of the game.
As clear as 'night and day', even Paul Lambert could have seen that.He got the tactics 2nd half all wrong. We sat so deep it was shocking.

Hahaha, what a nonsensical comeback…….Shouldn't bother playing the first half then, has no influence on the outcome
What's nonsensical is the idea that being 2 up has no affect on how the rest of the game will goHahaha, what a nonsensical comeback…….
You need to control more of the total game, but the second half is a fresh restart point as neither side has forward or backward momentum from the second half kick off
It does, but they were so dominant second half they would have still gotten three. What's nonsensical is the idea that being 2 up has no affect on how the rest of the game will go
But you don't know that they would've been as dominant. You don't know psychologically how being 2 down would've affected their playersIt does, but they were so dominant second half they would have still gotten three.
It is delusional to think we win or draw that game even with a 2:0 second half lead.
Let's be very clear. In managerial terms if JL is B list GON is barely F list. If he thinks otherwise then he is deluded as well as totally and utterly out of his depth.Absolutely but in the context of what he said its pretty clear he blames Lopetegui:
"That is just the way they have been playing for an awful long time. So, trying to take that unpredictability out as much as we can until we get to the final third"
Lage MK2 - it's always someone else's fault.Passing the buck. That loss was mainly due to the way we set up in the 2nd half and some lunatic substitutions. All down to you Gary.
You may think that... I wouldn't disagree. He's not fit to lace the man's boots.
Didn't actually achieve anything much as a player either. The archetypical journeyman.Apparently ''They play quite loosely and go off and do their own things'' Hmm...dumping on the players is never a good sign. Particularly when you are a manager who has never achieved anything in management.
He's far worse than Lage .Lage MK2 - it's always someone else's fault.
Is he *******sHe's far worse than Lage .
He really is , what and see.Is he *******s
We never had a first half like that under Lage
We had 7 in and around the box on one attack. Unheard of !
We ran out of puff in midfield and their quality told. We should have been three up but didn’t deserve the win. A draw would have been spot on but they had the breaks, Dust down move on beat Luton
I was talking about the excuses. In terms of experience etc you are, sadly, spot on.He's far worse than Lage .
Why are we trying to hint Lopetegui wasn’t good for us haha. Do you remember what he inherited?!If, if, if. If cunha had an eye for goal (a lopetegui signing by the way) all of this is academic as the game is won at half-time.
A simple question to some on here: name a single club that would select GON over JL.Why are we trying to hint Lopetegui wasn’t good for us haha. Do you remember what he inherited?!
This is desperate stuff. Is he *******s

To be fair, Joao Gomes said as much in the week in that he does his own thing when he can’t understand what he’s being told.Apparently ''They play quite loosely and go off and do their own things'' Hmm...dumping on the players is never a good sign. Particularly when you are a manager who has never achieved anything in management.
We were 6th until Arsenal away weren’t we?!Lage actually had a period of about 3/5ths of a season where he was regularly winning and we were well up there.
We’ve conceded more goals in the last two home games than all Lopeteguis home games.Like I said when he first got interviewed…… he is like the guy from Southampton last season…..
“Me me me, I did it” when it is good
“They/them/previous managers fault” when it doesn’t.
We had a much better defensive record than Bournemouth last season I thought? Definitely a better home record under JL…..
he needs to go and needs to go now, he is dangerously deluded about his own level of ability.
