It's not his skill that I hate. It's the needless turnovers. His skill is evident for all, he just struggled to get up to the speed and physicality of the league (like many new players coming in). Clear signs at the end of last season and the first 2 games of this season that he has got over that issue and that is probably why Man City have decided to pull the trigger now. They're willing to pay us a nice premium to get him over that first tough year for them.
Well, that’s what he’s capable of, ay it.
Worth all the tea in China!
Probably just end up selling bully before the deadline tbfMeanwhile at Compton Jeff is taking 15 minutes break from sitting on his hands . Hobbs head of recruitment is on the golf course trying to get bully of retirement.
Strange how two of the best managers on the planet-Guardiola and Klopp rate him so highly and yet others here say he is rubbish and we should be grateful even to just get our original money back...... How dare we ask for half the money Brighton got for Caicedo ?
Yes I forgot we lose 10% of any profit to Sporting and then there is Mendes's juicy cut....the add ons may amount to £10m? Anything can happen with them. Even a net £15m profit looks highly optimistic .....
I think Pep is signing him to fill the KDB role, that tells us everything
If Pep is signing nunes to replicate KDB it would tell me he has lost his ****ing mind. And no sane wolves fan that watched an average Nunes labour around the pitch last season whilst doing very little could think differently. Look back through the match reports on here and comments on his performances. No one….And I mean no one, was saying it thinking this guy was being sold for 60m euro/quid/yen/whatever as a replacement for KDB this season.
Got this price we are pulling Man City’s pants down IMO.
Time will tell. But that’s my opinion.
Yet here we are, and that's exactly what's happening. So either you're missing something, or Pep is making a huge mistake.
Don't blame him, moving to City is one of the best opportunities in football.
For those of you saying he didn’t deliberately get that second yellow.
True colours being shown.
Im not saying it’s a mistake. Price is what you pay and value is what you get. I think the speculated price is good business for us as Nunes has done very little here. City have cash and big squad depth already so if it don’t work out it makes little difference to them…and because he was a city player they will get some dross like Everton or west game to buy him for 40m next season.
I don't think he is, bought to replace Gundogan.Yet here we are, and that's exactly what's happening. So either you're missing something, or Pep is making a huge mistake.
I never want someone like him and Guedes anywhere near the club again
These Portuguese lot peaked at Neves and Jota
Matheus Nunes has stopped training with Wolverhampton Wanderers and informed the club of his wish to join Manchester City.
The Premier League champions want to sign Nunes before the summer transfer market closes on Friday night.
Wolves have rejected an offer worth €55million and are determined to stand firm unless a proposal meets their valuation.
The 25-year-old midfielder will face disciplinary action over his absence and Wolves intend to bring him back into their squad after the window shuts unless a deal can be struck before then.
Nunes joined from Sporting Lisbon last August in a deal worth £42million and is under contract at Molineux until 2027, with an option for a further 12 months.
City are looking to strengthen in midfield after their efforts to secure West Ham United's Lucas Paqueta was derailed by an FA investigation over potential betting breaches.
Pep Guardiola's side have also lost Kevin De Bruyne to a hamstring injury, which required surgery that could see him spend up to four months out.
Ornstein is very reliable.Well, let's be sure of the truth or all sides of the story before we rush to judgement huh
Doesn't mean he has every side to the storyOrnstein is very reliable.
If he’s refused to train and the club are going to discipline him I’m not sure what the other side could be.Doesn't mean he has every side to the story
Exactly.Looking a this from his point of view. You're getting a chance to join the current best team in Europe, possibly the world this us because let's face it KDB is injured. If he does not go now and has to stay at Wolves will City come back for him when KDB is fit?
If I was in his shoes I would not miss training but I would be doing everything I could to make sure the move happened.
From a supporter of Wolves point of view he is a petulant little turd
Oh come on he wants to go to Man City, he never really wanted to be here in the 1st place so you can bet this is completely accurate - why would the reporter make it up anyway.Doesn't mean he has every side to the story
Matheus Nunes you are an absolute ****ing ****er
**** him off. ****.
He desperately wants to join the best club side in Europe. I don’t really blame him considering our current position as well. Not training for a week isn’t going to force us to sell him, a lot of players do this nowadays, but we hold all the power in this situation. It’s a little petulant, but he’ll get over it.The horrible little weasel departed in the way he has shown best since he signed, all hot air, ****ing ****er.
And set a precedent for the rest of our players to throw their toys out the pram for a move?People acting like Nunes should give a hoot about Wolves. Did he not have a release clause in his contract initially?
He came here as a stepping stone, that was what he was sold, now acting all stunned when the big (the biggest in world football on pure talent) club comes in for him, and shock horror, he really wants to go.
Let him leave.
I'm just saying that there will be more to it, you know a bit of nuance. I'm not saying this part of it is not true. But if you want to just jump on this and hate him regardless, knock yourself out. A fair few seem to have made that decision alreadyOh come on he wants to go to Man City, he never really wanted to be here in the 1st place so you can bet this is completely accurate - why would the reporter make it up anyway.
