Just as a side note it’s interesting that our net outlay almost matches the amount we charged against the plc last month. Circa 60 million.

It has been, our defence was very poor last year and average year before that despite standing on the edge of our box.
Not much to congratulate Bruno on but since reverting to a 4 we’re playing a much higher line

Yes, and we rarely look like getting caught out by it, too. Compared to previous attempts at 4 at the back that were often hands-over-the-eyes stuff whenever the opponent played through quickly. Even the top teams get caught out regularly when playing it. The difference (and our main problem) is up the other end. Bayern/City/Liverpool etc don't worry about conceding a goal because they know they will most likely score 2. We can't dare consider even conceding one goal, as we know that's pretty much the 3 points gone.

It’s because you bring them on from the substitutes bench with 15 minutes remaining when we are 3-0 up and cruising! You don’t throw them in from the start!

Pigs might fly. Dream on. If only. Wish to dream. Wishful thinking.

Villa have signed Bednarek on loan and Southampton have signed Caleta-Car on a permanent for £10million (that’s very good business). We have got rid of 3 experienced central defenders and 1 other who could fill in if necessary. SigNed 1 and will be relying on total inexperience if Collins or Kilman are injured.

Am I missing something?
Hope there's a recall opti9n on Dion Sanderson?

They obviously didn't need 23 players. They have signed 3 LBs ffs.
They wanted to be competitive after realising their squad isn’t good or large enough with all the departures also can any of the 3 lb’s play other positions like lcb in a three or LW?

Bit scattergun in approach, but your criticising them for what many complain about on here…. They have a squad that covers them for injury, suspension and covid

Hope that is true, but isn't this guy full of ****?
Its old news anyway. Talk was he wanted an incredible wage. So if he is realistic and content with a lower fee then would be a worthwhile risk but if it throws the rest of the squad out then not.

I guess the thing is now he either signs for someone on a lower wage or stay unemployed for half a season, missing the world cup. Or end up in Saudi Arabia or somewhere I guess.

I doubt we would recall Dion especially after the MGW experience so I would leave him for this season and hopefully get the benefit of an improved player to challenge for a place next season. Good cover for cb and wb.
Exactly would be a mistake to recall him

We’d have sent Mosquera on loan if it were true
Not necessarily. We'd have looked like a bunch of tits if we'd sent Mosquera out on loan yesterday then Denayer turned our offer down today.

Bruno clearly wants Denayer judging by this press conference comments today. Seems to think Toti and Mosquera dont have enough experience.

Think Yerson can still get his loan too, see Batman going to Turkey today. Based on Bruno’s own admission that ‘the gap between our first choice two and back ups is too big’, mirroring many people’s thoughts on the mix last night, this must happen.

They have a squad full of dross. Should have signed half the players of greater quality. Big squads of ****e take you absolutely nowhere

Unknown, but won’t be coming to us before January whatever happens unless on a free. Think the Chilean guy were after is rumoured to be coming in January when their season finishes.
