Probably too controversial leaving Adama out, but Podence does his best work in the middle and Hwang looked better playing up top as opposed to on the wing. Donk is a must start for me also - this team needs a box to box workhorse and Joao doesn't fit that mold.

Whilst somewhat effective on the right I dont want us to revert to the pass it to Traore and watch him get to the byline and cross routine we’ve been accustom to over the last year or so.

Thought Hwang looked more threatening last night right now when compared to Raul so I'd put him in the centre. Coady needs a break as his indecision is causing us issues at the back - Saiss isn't the long term answer but confident he can do a better job than Coady in the interim in that role.

That would be my team. Only seen Saiss in the Coady position once, but thought he moved the ball better and quicker than Coady.

Both Raul and Trincao were completely ineffectual vs Brentford. Fail to see how either of them start.

Yeah, thought RAN's corners were very good, not just because we scored from one.

They beat the first man for a start. But they also had a bit of shape on them, which made them a lot harder to defend.

Last season Southampton **** themselves every time we ran inside at their CBs.

We can't play with a flat 3 as we won't have a sub midfielder at that point (Thanks, Jeff!)

And we don't have any mobile midfielders anyway, so need to invert Adama and the left footed winger.
