For context I think this is about signing an extra CB. MH was arguing that we had always planned to play 4 at the back under GoN and at the time, we had 4 CBs - toti, mosquera, bueno and Dawson. He took the view that was always the plan, numbers-wise - 2 players for each position.

This strongly aligns with comments by e&s journos that Shi is liable to change his opinion at the last minute. Having worked in similar environments, it makes forward planning next to impossible and destroys morale.
