Mad to think that Utd have scored 5 of their 35 against us and they're still four goals shy of OUR total (Yes, we scored 3)... after 25 league games, we're pretty handy in the GF column. Unheard of for us.

GoN should have asked Saunders to teach him about the Eye of the Tiger on TalkSport this morning :tearsofjoy:

I can’t see us beat the 19/20 season. That last quarter of season push was extraordinary. As much as I am impressed by this season’s squad’s efforts, we just don’t have the legs or the talent x youth, that we had back then.

It is a weird league this season…. I wouldn’t rule it out! Especially if cunha comes back.

At which case I am breaking ground on the worlds largest humble pie factory lol

I don’t think you can predict much other than the poor quality of the bottom 2 this season

Comparative results table:
Manchester City (85 pts needed to win the title)
Arsenal
Liverpool
Tottenham (70 pts to guarantee CL)

Chelsea
Brighton
Wolves (10th on 50 pts)

Comments:
Liverpool are now the most improved team in comparative terms (+12 points), ahead of their city rivals Everton (+10) and Tottenham (also +10). The reduction of Everton's points penalty has been incorporated into the table above.

At the other end of the scale, Manchester Utd worsened their position further to fall to -15, but Brentford have also now sunk to the same position.

Wolves recorded another improved result by beating Sheffield United (last season's equivalent game: 2-4 vs Leeds) and so reach a season best position of being 9 points better off. We are thereby averaging 0.346 points more per fixture to date... a trend which if you applied across the remaining fixtures would mean Wolves would finish 8th.

Next up total pointswise is Nunos last season when we finished in 13th with 43 points..if memory serves.

All time table(first division plus Prem league)we are closing in on Bolton who´s in 13th spot.Only 23 more points needed to surpass them.
Just looking at it from a pure Premier League stance..we´re 27 points behind Stoke and we have Sandwell at gunpoint as well trailing just 60 points.

I do like this graph! One thing I noticed, which is "interesting" is we have not gained a single point on the last game of the season if I read this correctly. Liverpool away for Klopps send off game is very unlikely to change that this year!
If Carlsberg did football it would be to beat/hold Liverpool on the last day of the season to prevent them winning the league and then go to Wembley and beat them in the FA Cup Final.. it would be the perfect Wolves send off for the dentist's bester freund.
Yes, my round, please have a pint of talking *******s on me.

Notwithstanding the nine points that the suits have taken from us. Not sure how many they stole last season - perhaps we should do a comparative VAR thread.

With three games to go, the following teams have all beaten their points tallies of last season and are thus guaranteed to finish on a positive comparative number:
Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, West Ham and Wolves.

By contrasts, the following cannot match last season's points tallies and so will finish on a negative comparative number:
Brentford, Brighton, Manchester Utd and Newcastle, with promoted clubs Burnley and Sheffield United unable to better the record of their comparative teams.
