Will believe it when we see it! Maybe if they bought Kilman, they could be kept up by the Max Factor. :)

    Bruno’s Deadline day

Because Bruno gets the blame and the sack if we drop down the table. It's his job to manage the players.

Given that Fulhams last 3 promotions have all resulted in instant relegation, it's strange that any really good player would be considering joining them right now. They could survive, of course. But realistically, that has to be the less likely outcome. Perhaps he's thinking one season in the...

And some players never work out given all the time in the world. The problem is identifying which is which, without being psychic. Plenty who looked potential world beaters at 20, fade without trace. And plenty who are superstars at 28 showed no sign of it at 22. It's virtually random, though...

    Rumours from the pub

Rubbish. Yes, his poor form in 2022 was "a problem", but it was not "the problem". Not the single reason we fail to score goals. Or collapsed against Leeds and Brighton, Arsenal etc. Plenty of other problems there, if you think they would be solved by replacing Hwang, you would be disappointed...

Wait till when? The start of the season? "But you can't judge anything until at least 10 matches have been played" . At end of year: "We still have half a season to play, nobody ever got relegated at Xmas". End of the winter window? "But we never go strong in the winter window". End of season...

Yes, perhaps "tens of millions to agents" (and other lucky recipents) is more the ballpark figure to compare with a certain other £35M deal, closer to home

    Rumours from the pub

There are plenty from lower divisions who would have scored more that Podence, too. Add Trincao to the list. And we have Under 23's who would have scored more than Fabio, in the 565 minutes he was given. But they aren't Portugese. Seems unfair to pick on the 13M signing who scored 5 - no other...

And Bayern spent 35 million on Sadio Mane. Can only assume that fee didn't need to include millions in sweeteners to assorted agents and family members.

Yes, it looks like the learned that buying players is a very risky business, especially for large fees. So best not buy any more.

The same was said last season. Still think he's 3 or 4 seasons off being a capable striker.

Can anyone explain clearly where we are heading ?

I think that may not be far off with Fosun. Just thinking of some of the things Jeff has occasionally admitted to being surprised by various aspects. So presumably his seniors were, too. Seems like they underestimated just how far ahead and entrenched the super-clubs of Europe are. And that...

I don't think they can fix it without a radical overhaul. Core of the team, really. The centre half with more skills than Coady. Centre mid who can get us forward quickly. And a striker who can actually give defences something to worry about, strong on the ground and in the air. As to whether...

Agree! Our midfield aren't the best at being able to play that way, they are much better at supporting the defence than the attack. I don't think it's one thing or the other, but many causes. If we got a dynamic creative midfielder in, still think we'd be at the lower end of the "Goals For"...

    Goalscoring

It's not one thing or another, but many factors combined. It would have to be, our goal scoring is so poor! Any one problem could be covered by a fix elsewhere, but we have none of that. I do agree, we don't get forward quickly enough. We don't get enough forward. Mentioning Hungary at Molineux...
