Spin that record, Matt. Nobody is “delighted” to have Gary at the club. Nobody at all.

It’s one of the most ridiculous gambles I’ve ever seen from any Premier League club, with every indicator pointing towards a manager who got very fortunate in his only stint.

Fair play, the only way they top this is to announce Nathan Jones in December.

Very few have a clue as to why you were such a perfect fit, other than you were cheap. Do you play golf? Ah, that explains it then. Hobbs does too. I imagine that really 'swung' it for him in the interview. I can't imagine you could have a done a decent selling job with your previous achievements, based on, well, you not really having any. I imagine you've got about 6 games to prove you're up to it. Don't worry though, many of us are already expecting you to fail.
