I was poised to ask the question "Will Burnley play football this week?" before reminding myself that, regardless of Covid, the answer is always "No."

However, the possibility of suspiciously manufactured postponements remains, so this is another week with five reserve fixtures. Like last time, these games will only count (in order) if any of the standard fifteen fixtures are called off.

Please allocate your three asterisks to the first fifteen fixtures only. RULES UPDATE - you may amends your predictions and shuffle your asterisks up until the cutoff of 12.30 on Saturday, for any reason, whether it's for postponements or not. If you allocate an asterisk to a game that is postponed AND HAVEN'T CHANGED IT BY 12.30 SATURDAY, that's when it will slide to the next available fixture. So, as an example, if Burnley call off their Sunday fixture late on Saturday, just for northern giggles, and you've starred it, that will automatically slip to the next game, you don't get to change it because it's after cut-off.

Good luck all!

No postponements this weekend as far as I can see, even Burnley.

@Wolf In Essex , you have four asterisks - if you don't delete one, I'll take the first three and leave out the Palace v Liverpool one.

@Blast tyrant , @Don Corleone , @Miniwolf , @Contrarian and @WetheralWolf , and any other regulars/semi-regulars, you still have just over a couple of hours to submit.

@geowolf , was the Udinese hate deliberate?

At a glance:

Still no postponements. Of 31 players, 25 have gone for a Wolves win, where we'll inevitably see a Traore farewell hat-trick, followed by a few thousand fans morosely waving white handkerchiefs at Jeff Shi whilst singing "And if you tolerate this, then your Neves will be next." Or he'll be an unused substitute, sitting covered in oil while texting winky smilies at Dele Ali. One of those.

Only three players have predicted Spurs wins, which is three too many for everyone's newly minted most despised club of the week. Jrpb-3 is going rogue, the only player not to predict a Man City win. No one has predicted a third 6-2 win on the spin for Fulham, which is just criminal. Where's your sense of adventure? 24 players predict a Leeds win, having not yet learned that Leeds will always, always let you down.

Biggest news of the week is that with 45 minutes to go, league leader Blast Tyrant is AWOL. Hope you're okay, BT. Has anyone checked Frank Lincoln's not-at-all-coincidental-and-suspicious newly built patio...?

Amazing how many correctly called Leicester v Brighton as a 1-1 and had it starred, too! A football result going as the form would predict - for once.

A nip-and-tuck battle at the gritty end of this round, between two players who have strangely kept pace with one another for a while now, saw that dastardly Wolf In The North outlast unlucky Wolf In Wednesbury by a slim margin, 44 points to 40, on a Sunday that swung this way and that like a drunken rocking horse trying to follow Micah Richards' train of thought. North got four correct scores, but two today were double pointers, while Wednesbury got five, the best of the week, but with just one sparkly silver asterisk, and that was the difference in the end.

The gentlemanly Huge Of Sharjah was in third, posting his best week since round two with 32 points and three scores, and the next six were familiar names from the top of the league, chipping away at each other; Nige100 hit four scores on 30, and a cluster of others got 3, to finish around the 26-28 point mark for the week. Poor Leominster Wolf was the latest to suffer from the weekly winner curse, struggling in this round's bottom ten after last weekend's heroics.

Blast Tyrant retains a slender 6 point lead at the top of the overall table, with Nige100 just edging ahead of Frank Lincoln back into second place, but it's getting tight at the top with just 18 points separating the top six. North and Wednesbury poke their noses into the top eight, but there's still a distance to those ahead of them.

‘After the Lord Mayors show’, is the best way I can describe this weeks performance!! :(:(
I thought I’d finally got the calibration and settings right on the crystal ball - but clearly not

Enforced winter break, folks - but the Prediction League continues! I was considering a tour of the Belgian, Swiss and Romanian first divisions, but that felt unnecessarily cruel. So, time to delve back into the realms of the Championship and League One whence we came from in the dark, dark days. Same rules as last week, asterisks and reserve games, etc. There are no penalties for predicting a Bolton win, except deep, personal, unshakeable shame.

Good luck!

Before I do my predictions, are there any penalties for predicting a win for West Brom... :)

Due to their Championship status, West Brom have some weird legitimacy in the game, so predicted wins are sometimes a necessary evil. Bolton are just included this week for giggles, to give everyone the chance to wish them all the ills they can muster.

I truly despise Bolton.
