I really am a Coady supporter and he’d be in my team every time, if we were playing a back 3. In a back 4, however, we have better players.

At least mings got some game time. Id prefer coady not to be called up to england at all currently as what seems to be senior cheerleader as he would have had a 2 week window to train with wolves during this international break and get him practiced in that defensive midfielder role. And for those saying he isnt a midfielder and he has admitted he is too slow, coady clearly has quality in tackling and passing abilities, so just move him forward 15 yards in front of the defenders as opposed to sweeping up after them. He will never be a kante up and down the pitch but at least it frees up neves further up field with an option to have an attacking midfielder as well. He can easily step back into a 3 at the back when defending and push on into midfield when we have the ball. I seem to remember thats exactly what sevilla did do us, 3 at the back but with the central defender pushing on into midfield when they had possession.

The problem is Watford have strengthened and if they score first I don’t see us scoring two. To think two years ago we were all excited about playing in Europe and beating top sides in the premier league. I hope I’m wrong about the Watford game - I just want us to win!

This for me but Pod instead of Trincao. It's a very good side, albeit one lacking a proven goal scorer.

Silva seems like a nice lad with talent (I'm starting to be won over) but I'd have sent him out on loan to Sheffield United before MGW: they lack a proper CF; half a season there and into double figures he'd be improved. Given we're threadbare though I wouldn't have loaned anyone!

We got ripped a new one by a Spanish second division team when playing four at the back in pre-season. Coady was utterly gash at FB in the Chump. Mosquera freshly back from injury and never played a first team game for the club. Cundle in the engine room? How to totally destroy a young player's confidence. Hwang will have hardly trained with half of the team but straight in up top. What the hell has Trincao done to deserve getting dropped?... and finally Ruddy... One question: why???
