Iv seen a number of members mention in various threads about the 5 subs rule being retained, it has already been voted on by the PL and thrown out..

So for 2020/21 season its back to 3 subs and 7 players on the bench..

I thought they were having a second vote to try to get it through.

Nope, there's a revote later this week, as the big clubs have managed to change enough minds to warrant a revote. It will go to five. Shambles, tbh.

How do they hope to get it through a second time when they failed the first?

It's clearly in very few clubs interest to have 5 subs outside the big 6. If it goes through, it'll allow the big 6 to have fewer headaches managing squads and keeping everyone happy and it'll obviously give them an additional edge in the last half an hour of games.

It'll be a sham if it gets overturned and a further stacking of the decks in favour of the big boys. It'll be worth keeping a close eye on loans from the big 6 to any club who change their original vote.

Arsenal's squad is currently twice as big as Wolves so it's no wonder they're in favour. They're not too far away from being able to put out three teams!

What a joke, will end up like Scotland where the big clubs have bloated squads full of talent

For me it’s not even just an issue of it being an advantage to the bigger clubs. It’s the fact that football games often open up and become better viewing towards the end of the games; when legs and minds tire.
Football is a sport and as such it should be a physical test of those playing.

Probably a few Sky 6 chairmen threw a tantrum and started talking about a breakaway league again.
I wish they would breakaway into a Europe Super league and var with them. I doubt people want to see Man U v servile regularly

When will there be a revote on admitting the promoted clubs into the league?

The effects are already glaring, with broadcast partners now openly refusing to pay multi-millions in return for matches involving Hal Robson-Kanu et al playing kick and rush.

Reminiscent of the pillock Gillingham Chairman Scally, during that team's only period in English football's second level, demanding the establishment of PL2 with no promotion/relegation.... Ability on the pitch should decide what league you play in....

The revote has happened... and the big boys were defeated! Three subs remain.

Have to say I am surprised. Pleasantly.
Actually surprised by this, but it is good news.
Don’t understand why it was given a second vote anyway.
