In an ideal world, Doc will be one of the better players for a Spurs side who disappoint and finish several points behind Wolves.
He shouldn't be chasing that back. He is out of the game. It would be burning energy for the hell of it.

But we didnt adore him. Most anyway. He had no songAdoration over silverware would hypothetically be more important for me, but i accept most players would not see it that way.
Not sure if that is tongue in cheek but has Coady got a song? But we didnt adore him. Most anyway. He had no song
Yes. He does and its sung quite a bit. They said he was a scouser... etc etcNot sure if that is tongue in cheek but has Coady got a song?
really? where you bin?Not sure if that is tongue in cheek but has Coady got a song?
He won't be the only one if this thread keeps going the way it is.I loved Doc and don't begrudge him his payday and move but I can't help feeling he's going to come to regret it.
leader of the pack allez if that was a gen queryNot sure if that is tongue in cheek but has Coady got a song?
Ah you can't go blaming our JoaoSeems spurs fans are actually saying Doc was their best player and their most attacking option.
Think Moutinho is definitely missing a trick not utilising Doc to his full potential playing him as a wingback
Given how "good" he was for us as a fullback l'm unsurprised with those comments if he's being used as such. Notably it's not only our fanbase which has it's share of folk with zero patience.Unfortunately they think he is not very good it seems.....................
Player - Matt Doherty
He's not playing well. his positioning is worse than Aurier's. Jose needs to sort this fastthefightingcock.co.uk
Not even sure that he's a Chump level RB.Completely unfair to judge him playing anything other than RWB. He's not a premier league quality RB in a million years and yet he's being played there.

I wonder if he thinks the move is still a ‘no brainier’?
I think it's playing a big part. He was essentially a bench warmer for club and country between the ages of 23 and 27, in 12 months he became the main man for both - and he's loving it. Some (many) players in his position would still move for the extra money, we're very lucky in the sense he seems to value playing above getting paid more (not that he isn't handsomely paid anyway!)Get the feeling that’s why Jiménez is still here, after such a patchy, bench-warming European career.
Means an awful lot to some players, less so others.
(The trusted starting place as well, not just the adulation)
Spurs aren't paying him £150k a week, he will be on more than when here but he hasn't tripled the £50k a week that we were paying him‘if I could triple my pay I would mind being a benchwarmer
As much as I liked him here and I didn't want him to leave, he's made his bed and he can lie on it.Unfortunately they think he is not very good it seems.....................

Agreed. I told a Spuds supporting mate Doc was hopeless as a FB but as an attacking RWB...That is balanced by our fans who could see his strengths and weaknesses and knew he'd disappoint Spurs fans if played as a RB rather than RWB. People moaned about the fee but if there's only one bidder the price is inevitably low, and we're already seeing why there was only one bidder.
