Matt Doherty has played with some fantastic players during his career.

The Irishman has played for the likes of Tottenham and Atletico Madrid, and he’s seen his fair share of world-class talent during that time.

Speaking to Wolves’ official TikTok page, Doherty was asked to name the best player he’d ever played with.

Bale is a Tottenham legend, but his legacy at Spurs as forged way before he ever shared a pitch with Doherty in north London.

It’s a shame that Bale’s loan spell wasn’t that spectacular, but he clearly still had some magic in his boots, as Doherty says.
