Well,it looks like yet another underwhelming transfer window.

The squad looks thin.Very thin. Surely we cannot continue to name 3 defenders on the bench. What is the point? And then there's Jacobs.I've got more chance of playing than him.

Which youth players can now step up? We need some attacking options from somewhere. What have we got to lose?

Sorry to divert the thread but does anyone actually understand why Jacobs is on the bench? There have been several occasions where he might have come on but it clearly is not going to happen. Seems odd to me.

I've thought exactly the same, last home match we had Edwards playing down the left and were desperate for some width and we bring on a right back in Doherty.

Was about to book for the Reading and Rotherham games but I think I'll keep the £150 in my bank tbh. If SM can't be arsed to get his cheque book out why should I?

Jordan Graham has travelled with the squad on a couple of occasions so perhaps he is one who is close to making the step up.

Graham/Hunte/Eusebio must surely be better options off the bench than a load of defenders and a midfielder that will never play??

I've seen the u21's 3 or 4 times this season and don't think there is another stand out there that is ready yet. Iorfa was the best player every time i saw them.

I haven't seen Graham so can't really comment on him yet. But Hunte, Eusebio, Kellerman, Keita (the front 4 when i've seen them) are at least a year away from 1st team football thats if they ever make it.

I have to say I agree.
Three defenders on the bench is a joke and Kenny says he is happy with the squad!
    Do me a favour!

    Da youf...

The youth. Isn't it time, with Sako away, squad reinforcements injured or on loan, to start pushing some of the promising talent we have forward, as mentioned elsewhere, especially when we have three defenders on the bench.

We have some promising youngsters who could probably cut it in this league and the match day experience would do them good.

It happens at lots of other teams successfully. What is our reluctancy?

I know we've had iiorfa, hause, Evans come in...but what about the attacking side of it?

When the time is right, I'm sure Kenny is more than prepared to give the younger players a chance. He's done it with countless other players since he's been here. A slow, gradual integration is probably more beneficial than just chucking a load of them into the team. I like how he takes the younger players in the matchday squad, just for the experience.

After watching them v West Brom a few weeks back none of them are really ready yet.

Eusebio looks a talent, first half he was brilliant and I was sitting thinking why isn't he in the first team but second half showed why. He faded badly and became pretty much none existent which would only be emphasised more at first team level. Given our current options I'd have had him on the bench though as he has pace and a trick and could have possibly done a job for 20/30 mins against the likes of Blackpool/Charlton.

Wasn't too sure on Hunte, I'm only basing it on one game but felt his attitude needs to improve before he gets in the first team. He had a bit of talent though, not quite as good as Eusebio, but I think he'd be a liability at the moment both defensively and, from that game, in keeping 11 men on the pitch. Don't know if any of those who watch the U21s more regualrly would agree or not.

Of the attacking players, which is where we are short, they are probably the two who look the closest on that showing. Really liked O'hanlon at fullback but we're okay there now.

    Where is Jordan Graham?
He hasn't played a game for us since he signed!
He always seems to be injured.

I agree Sedge overall not good enough, but a bit of flair & unpredictability for the last 10 mins when we are pressing defensive frailties can be sacrificed for a bit of raw potential. Even if it just gets the crowd up it's a positive.
