My son, Chris Lamb from Northampton, is as big a Wolves fan as me and is combining 2 of his great passions to raise money to help his mate who has cancer. Fortunately today we have managed to get 2 tickets donated by Arsenal FC!

I thought some of you may be interested in Chris's story below.....In his words.................The next big challenge! RUN FOR TOMMY. This is something I’ve been organising for some time and finally it’s all come together. 2 PASSIONS - Wolves and Endurance running - 1 BIG CHALLENGE - FOR ONE GREAT MAN.

What am I doing? Starting at 3.00am I am aiming to run just over 100km from Wembley stadium to Emirates stadium via all other 10 football league grounds in London arriving at 3PM in time for the Arsenal v Wolves game.
WHY? To raise funds for a good friend of mine who has terminal cancer. I’ve known Tommy for over 20 years, we met at middle school and are the same age (34). This news has rocked so many people and all we want to do now is give Tom and his family the best support possible.

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED - Please support me on this challenge by donating to Tom’s fundraising page where you can also read the full story:
Help raise £5000 to Help and support Tom Rawsthorne cover financial costs to give him a less stressful time during his fight against cancer.

Thanks Hankin. It certainly is a challenge but he has covered 100 miles in 24 hours on one previous ocassion ((at an event called Endure24) so he is hoping he will be in one piece physically and mentally afterwards to enjoy watching us give Arsenal a tough game. Will let you know how it goes!

Luckily Arsenal have sent us 2 Executive box tickets and we didn't even ask for them. Very generous!

Just donated, wish it could have been more.

Had an email from a colleague/friend today to advice me his condition has now been officially classed as terminal, he's only 40 with 3 young kids, life can be so random and unfair.

Good luck to your lad and his mate and hope the Wolves can win for you.

Thanks Rhoswolf. It's an awful condition of course but if any of us can help ease the pain and worry a little then it's well worth it. Thank you again and I will be saying a prayer for your colleague.

He did it!! I am pleased to report that my son Chris completed his run covering all London football grounds on Sunday. His run began in the dark and rain at 3.00am and, despite some tough moments, he kept going and arrived at The Emirates at 3.10pm having covered approximately 60 miles. He posted pictures of himself outside each ground on his Facebook page. Thank you to those of you who contributed to the fund for Tommy Rawsthorne and the run boosted the total by quite a sum. Of course the day was capped off with a great display at Arsenal and a well deserved point. What a day it was!
