just thinking after the gate we had on friday we should look at doing an offer against ipswich ,on sky 12.15 kick off what a difference a decent crowd can make . and yes im a season ticket holder but would rather see the ground full .

Yeh, completely agree. The potential importance of that match is enormous and such things like a massive crowd can make that bit of difference.

I'm a fan of the 12:15 kick off once in a while. Can't remember the last time we had one at Molineux was.

I've never liked 12.15 kickoffs personally. How early will the Ipswich lot have to set out of the morning???

Could make or break our season. I'm definitely going to go to it, even though I'm not a fan of the kickoff time.

1215 ridiculous kick off time- particularly for away fans having a long journey but it's all about money and what Sky wants Sky gets and to hell with anyone else basically.

12.15 is stupid, anyone that works Saturdays mornings like me cant make it, but more the point not enough beer has been drunk to make an atmosphere, unlike the night game v derby.

The problem is there is already a promotional offer on for the Leeds/Ipswich/Millwall games, all 3 for £60 I can't see them doing another offer for just this 1 game.

Orient away last season was a 12:15 k/o with 2,500 Wolves fans there and plenty of atmosphere.

  9. If we need to win it to make the play offs there'll be 30K+ there at full price. They'll be sniffing Wembley you see. In fact people book your tickets for Leeds to guarantee a seat in the PO and possibly Wembley ! Do it now !

Yeah but on the other hand a 5:30 evening kick off on a sunny bank holiday monday is a great kick off time.

The early kick off is a pain in the $$$$ for us long distance supporters without any doubt. This with it being on Sky means it is likely that many chose to not come. Last Friday was a great success in my view. Many of us made the effort to travel because of the price reductions. Personally I think I will be coming to the Leeds game instead of Ipswich. Plenty of time b4 the game for a beer and not home too late.If there was a similar offer for both or just Ipswich I would more than likely make the effort to travel but can't afford to do both at full price especially with them being on telly.

To be fair I prefer Sunday and early Saturday kick-offs (pain in the backside to travel) compared to mid-week games (physically impossible to get to without taking time off work).

Was very lucky that the Derby match fell nicely for me otherwise I would've missed the seat and atmosphere that I've paid for that you don't get in front of a tv!

As for the OP I don't mind one bit if general sale tickets are discounted for sky games, but with so many offers around recently the club has got to be careful that ppl are still willing to pay full price for some games, rather than just waiting for a match to be discounted before they turn up.

  14. The big games are on SKY so it's a no-brainer as far as I am concerned. The EB sales are pretty good all in all but they'll never fill that ground. Realistically I can get my fix for £200 Max. Could push that to £300 if I need a play off ticket etc. £11.50 a ticket is superb value.

It is. Ipswich to Wolverhampton is a 3hr run all being well so to be on the safe side need to allow longer.

And this ridiculous KO time has already had a negative knock on effect. My Ipswich supporting mate and I always make this game and have a few beers staying up in Wolverhampton the Saturday night. Few beers and a meal after the game makes for an enjoyable trip usually irrespective of the result, better when Wolves win of course:D

Now because of the new time it's doubtful he will make it seeing as he is working late the Friday night. Another mate, Wolves supporter, who actually lives in Ipswich is also likely to make it now and again due to the silly KO time and it being on TV.

Had this game been left alone I would say there would have been at least 3 of us travelling up and possibly 5, now might be 2 of us at best so having another reduced offer might be a good idea.

Yes but now everyone gets to see the game on TV & nobody at home or abroad has to miss it the same for the Leeds one.

Know what you mean MW but if we all start thinking about the game this way then eventually we could do away with supporters attending games altogether. Maybe that's what the TV powers want?

Last week's 12.15 kick off was Bournemouth v Middlesbrough, wonder what time the Boro fans got up!

Just checked the AA route planner mate and it shows a journey of 318 miles and a 6hr journey. So to be safe reckon a 5am start at the latest.

Another perfect example of how the fans are not considered at all.

There are only 8 games at most out of the 46 played moved for TV, games have been getting moved for over 20 years due to TV & attendances still seem to be increasing on the whole.

Yes it's a bit annoying & with the money in the game maybe away travel for football fans needs looking at. Especially for the bigger Prem teams who hardly play 3pm Saturday.

I think Sky do it deliberately, find the game where fans have the furthest to travel and put it as early or late as possible

That's a very fair point MW but some of the games changed beggar belief. If they need to have games on TV fair enough but why choose games that cause supporters the most inconvenience?

It does seem that way at times.
