Mate called me this morning saying he'd got 3 tickets for the game but there are few blocks of seats left.

Derby have sold out their full allocation and whilst I doubt the game will be a sell out with it being a Friday night televised game I wonder if this will be Wolves best attendance this season so far?

Really? Sounds good as you say even better when its a televised game night game.

Surely the increase can't be down to the half price offer as many on here would have you believe price has nothing to do with attendance :D

They should give Derby the Quadrant (or lower at least)

Got my tickets, it's half price lads. You might as well go down. Massive game.

Cheers NW. Checked that a little while ago and with still well over a week to go before the game those details will most likely change quite a bit. Couple of good results before the game will also make a difference I reckon.

People can say what they want Ultra but I know for a fact the three tickets my mate acquired were done so because of the very reason they were cheaper than usual. As such I'd say cheaper tickets will without doubt encourage people who might not otherwise to come along. Good move by Wolves.:D

The money saved on the tickets will more than cover his fuel costs now. Had they been full price I know he would have stayed home and watched the game on TV.

Yes Alan without a doubt with it being on TV I would of watched it on telly rather than make the long trip up the M6 on a Friday afternoon. Great move by the club to reduce fee's to encourage us long distance supporters to make the effort. Dads ticket was only £7 so he might even dip into his long pockets and buy us a beer or 3! Will be a good atmosphere can't wait.

If we're in the top 6 Wednesday morning I think you might be right. They should give Derby the Quadrant.

I know a Derby fan who goes everywhere with them and Derby are only being charged £13:50 for their tickets which is why they have sold out. He was so full of praise for Wolves for our pricing structure.

By comparison Norwich charged them £40 for a TV game after they'd charged us £35.

So for some Wolves are the good guys for once....

The benefits of getting old mate:D

Don't tell him I said that;)

And yes John it's a brilliant move by the club and whilst we will likely never know it would be interesting to know how many extra supporters are turning up because of the pricing.

I wouldn't have gone at full price with it being a Friday night and on TV. With the deal I am going and taking two mates for their first visit to Molineux.

Cant wait, a packed Molineux under the lights is very special.

So already 6 people are going that at full price would not have.

    Have a great evening.

There's an offer for the Sheffield Wed match as well next week. Not sure how widely it's been sent out but if you are an employee of a "Wolverhampton Key Business" you can get 2 tickets for the price of 1 in the Steve Bull stand. Simply call the ticket office and quote SHEFFB2B. Just got mine, so hope this is of use to someone else.

I am told that 14 members of the Malta Wolves would be attending for the two home games next week against Sheffield Wed. and Derby. Hope they will bring luck to our team and see them collect 6 valuable points.

Come over mate and we can catch up.

But that is great support and pleasing to know there is a still a decent following of the Wolves from sunny Malta.

    Yes, very good news Essex.

Believe Malta Wolves are one of our oldest supporters clubs, perhaps the oldest.

London Wolves were founded in 1966, but Malta Wolves could well date back to the late 50s.

I own a nice Malta Wolves badge, may not be very old, looks it mind, it has butterfly clips on the back.

Wow yes, bring it on, I don`t think Wolves have ever played on Malta.

    Who would we play though?

You could well be right BW about them being one of the oldest clubs.

I know Tarcisio Mifsud, lovely man, and Wolves used to have a decent following out there. Think it has tailed off a bit over the years but still a decent number involved.

If you haven't been to Malta I recommend it.

Wouldn't it just. This needs suggesting to the club. Warm weather, great people, drive on the left, food good. What else is there that's needed.:D

Hotel booked, but coupled with travelling to Brighton Saturday means a train home on Tuesday arriving back at 1:20 am, two miles from home so walk or limited alcohol, how they appreciate their fanbase!!

Thanks friends for all the comments about Malta. Wolves came to Malta twice, I have a number of photographs with the great team we had way back to 1971, with that brilliant midfielder and captain Mike Bailey (not sure I am remembering his surname well) They played the team I used to play for Marsa and beat them 5-1, but the locals gave Wolves a good run for their money for the first 70 minutes when the score was still 1-1.

then Wolves came again in the disastrous years of the 80s. The team was made of youths and they came together with Shrewsbury. In a friendly match the latter beat Wolves but some 4 goals, we were very disappointed.

I really would like to see Wolves in a training camp for a preseason tour. We have very good facilities nowadays, but it would be hot. Surely they can train either early in the morning or late in the evening.

I could not make it with the Malta Wolves tour next week, for before Easter I would be busy with my other voluntary work as Secretary of the local Band Club, but do not mind that much, for I rarely bring luck to Wolves when I visit Molineux.

The Malta Wolves, I believe was established in 1960 just before the final of the FA Cup against Blackburn, but my friend Alfred Camilleri, the current president will be able to give you all the details if you meet him at Molineux, as he would be leading the tour. Nowaday travelling from Malta to Wolverhampton, is relatively easy as there are flights to Birmingham from Malta, and then take the train or hire a coach.

Essex hope to meet again in the future, either in Malta or in Wolverhampton.

Do Malta Wolves stop at the Britannia Hotel when you visit, sure our paths must have crossed?

Had a great holiday in Malta last year and would love to return for a pre-season tour, although preferred Gozo:D!

It's good but with only a 1 hour trip, Friday night & £13.50 a ticket you would hope a team like Derby would sell out.

I wonder how the Sheff Wed ones have shifted in comparison.

Ive got tickets for this game, on the 20th, and there will be 9 people in our group (mainly because of the half price ) and its good to hear there will be over 2,700 visitors from Derby in the Steve Bull Stand; this surely must be one of the best supported games of the season.

They've got the worst section of the ground. Cant believe Norwich charge £40 who do they think they are?

Fair play to wolves for getting the price right, but we're usually rubbish with a big crowd and the atmosphere usually a bit flat (both except the Rotherham 6-4 game!).
