Does anyone have a link to the Radio WM commentary for this amazing game when we were 3-0 down at half time?

Remember a rumour at the time that a guy had lumped on huge money for the foxes win at half time, such a large stake that even at such poor odds it was thought to be buying money - and then the second half happened! lol

If a link is found PM me also please, was at this game in the South Bank and was loyal enough to stay til full time. Found it so funny at full time thinking back to watching the Leicester fans celebrating our 1st goal back!

First and only time I've ever left a game before the end, I was one of the shamed few who stormed out in a huff at half time and still get the $$$$ taken out of me now.

The comeback is something that, to this day, I view as a personal insult, but if it wasn't for this game I wouldn't have got involved in non league in the way I have done, and I have the most enjoyable 4 years watching football since this game so it's not all bad.

  8. Hassan kachoul was the difference in that second half. Was one of my TPS games, always treated to a running commentary from some quite amusing lads behind me in the BQU who were from Stafford and none more so than during the half time interval in that game, when everyone else was contemplating leaving. Fantastic day out - Camara's winner was his first goal for us wasn't it? Oh so long ago now.

It was camara's first goal for us, a bobbled scuffed effort from an Irwin cross IIRC?

But the best memory is surely Rae's header and him waving his shirt around over his head like a mad thing after the equaliser

Without doubt the best comeback I've ever seen. TPS game and in the temporary stand 4 blokes in front of us left at half time - If I remember correctly 1 or 2 of their mates stayed...the rest as they say is history - 3 of us almost unable to speak from screaming through the second half...what a match what a second half atmosphere!!

One of my favourite ever Wolves matches before this was a comeback from 2-0 down at Barnsley to win 3-2, in 1999. But the Leicester match just blew it away.

Camara missed an easy chance right before their 1st goal, took it close to goal at an angle then slid it straight into Walkers hands, they went straight up the other end, got a corner and scored from it. I remember from the re-start after their 3rd goal, Ferdinand almost disposessed Craddock for a possible 4th, and we all thought the game was up. Its right though, Kachloul made a big difference. When we got 1 back I thought oh well at least we've got something to show from the match, but when we got a penalty I started to think if we score this then maybe... The rest was just madness.

  12. I remember him running with the ball down the wing while pulling his sock up. Classic stuff :D

Definitely my favourite 'live' game, although it does make me shudder now to think how delighted I was that it was Camara who'd scored the winner!

Albion did the same the following week I think (West Ham?) which made it all the sweeter because they'd only done it in the Championship.

I know people will feel bad about leaving but to be honest I've no time for their regrets and excuses. Fact is, we were in the Premiership after so many years in the wilderness and the idea that anyone would want to miss just one minute of that experience if they were at the game defies belief.

If it had been my decision I would have handed out a life ban to everyone who left at half time.

West Ham were down to ten men as well. Totally devalued the "achievement" (if you can call it that), IMO/IMV.

People who leave early because the team is losing should have to hand in their season tickets as they go as well.

I actually (jokingly) said to the missus at HT as she tottered off to get her drinking chocolate 'Don't worry, we're gonna win 4-3!' That was the only time I can remember in 50 years of supporting Wolves that they have ever come back from a 3-goal deficit to win a game; draw one from 3 down, yes, very occasionally; come back from 2 behind to win 3-2 or 4-3, yes, many a time. But never a win after giving the other lot a 3-goal start.

Kachloul did the damage when he came on in the 2nd half, but he hardly played again after that during his loan spell -- I never understood why.

We were in Portugal at the time and we'd gone to a bar so that we could watch Soccer Saturday, have a drink and catch a little bit of sun on the terrace. Me and the lad were sat there in Wolves tops and when the third goal went in this bloke at the front turned to us and smiled in commiseration. We finished our drinks and took a slow walk back to the apartment. When we got back we put the telly on just in time to hear about the fourth goal going in. Talk about a swift change of moods!

On a stag do at Doncaster races for that game. Me and my mate gave our tickets to the other halves who gave us a running commentary when every goal went in. Went from 20 lads feeling realy $$$$ed off that Wolves could ruin the weekend before it had even started to scenes of mass hysteria in the Doncaster concourse when they rang to say we had gone 4-3 up. Happy days.

I was there and it rates as one of the two best games I've seen. The other was also quite a recent one - the Newcastle FA Cup match from the season before.

Someone I knew left at H/T during the Leics game and, although an ST holder, he couldn't bring himself to attend another game for the rest of the season due to the ridicule he received! He's only just started going again...

Was at home watching it on SSN. My Leicester mate rang me, and obviously gave me plenty of stick at half time, nothing I could defend. When we equalised I called him, and his missus answered - told me he was mowing the lawn! He came on the phone and asked if it was now 5 and when I told him it was 3-3, he wouldnt believe me, and I heard him gasp as he put on the tele and saw the score, just before hanging up. I obviously rang him again at full time and never got a reply. I didnt get hold of him until a week later!

Jeff Stelling and the team loved it that day, I think they were all Wolves fans because of the comeback.

One of the best matches I've ever been to, along with Wolves 3-0 Sheff Utd and Wolves 1-0 WBA.

great game - I stayed till the end, reckon ground was nearly half empty for second half - lots had left.

but 2nd half, it seemed every time we went fwd we would score, and I remember thinking after 1st goal went in we would get a draw at least. Great memory

Myself and CooperJ shared a season ticket that year, as we were both away at uni. We sat down and shared the games out equally at the start of the season, but I managed to get the Leicester and Man Utd game. He's still bitter about it now.

Was there as one of my TPS's as well. 3 easy goals for Leicester and misery set in.

Didn't they take off Ferdinand and the other bloke or something for some bizarre reason. Which helped us immensly!

Remember thinking "Lets keep it respectable, if we knick a couple back that'll do"
The way we were cut to $$$$ i'd have probably taken 3 nil there and then.

Great day, my voice was totally buggered afterwards!

It was on of my TPS games that season, the previous game being Charlton, so was expecting the worst, fantastic second half though and for me too one of my favourite games of recent times, particularly as I was working with a Leicester fan at the time

  28. Loved the comeback - didn't Marcus Bent give it the big un at one point in the first half down by the temporary seating - loved the look on his face at the end of the game :)

Superb game but got lost in the glamour of Man City doing the same to Spurs shortly after in the FA Cup. Never gets a mention on any of the Sky greatest premier......... shows.

Easy to say now but when the first went in everyone around us had a real belief that the comeback was definitely on the cards. No doubt in anybody's mind whatsoever.

would luv to see a clip

Although not very spectacular the comeback I remember most was against Sheff Utd at home about 12 years ago. We scored 2 in injury time De Wolf and Emblen I think.

Great stuff, I remember my phone going mental once the 4th had gone in.

One I'll remember for a while, alongside the 4-0 drubbing we gave the Blues at their place...
