We were 2-0 up in the first game when it was abandoned and the fans were up in arms .The bad winter meant the replayed game wasn’t for months.

No Rhoswolf .. Terry Wharton who played in a similarly position as it happens right winger as Adama Traore was a stand out player for me early days at Molineux. Terry never missed a penalty if I remember correctly also?

Played on the left and had a thunderbolt of a shot, from memory think he got selected for a squad along with Chris Crowe (just checked and did play), played for England when at Derby.
Now that I am old And the memory plays tricks did Terry Wharton put us 2 nil up against man united in the cup at Molineux some 50 odd years ago in ten minutes , both penalties....? Memory says we lost 2-4....not sure of my years because I seem to remember Wharton playing with wagstaffe, Richards, and Dougan in the front line...But then I seem to recall Jim mccalliog taking penalties...and stopping half way so the keeper fell over ( now banned)...those I think were good days but the sixties are merely a splendid blur in my mind now....
