poor Sunderland team.
Spent shed loads of money
For what he did regarding recalling Carlos Edwards (surely just a spiteful thing) I couldn't give a flying $$$$ if he did get the sack.
Could not happend to a better footballing team in the N.E
Wlkded into Management through 'His Friend' so learn your trade instead of having buckets of cash to support you...
Man Management and tactical = none...
Ok i'm not really bothered...
MM is showing who the better manager is
It shows that you can spend money and not get anywhere in the Prem! How much have Sunderland spent compared to Hull yet Hull have made shrewder signings which play as a team. I think it says something when they signed 4 Spurs players in the Summer but had to convince them to come at the same time, no player should be at a club if they need persuading to sign (probably more money)
They only signed 3 Tottenham players in the end didn't they? (Chimbonda, Malbranque & Tainio) Kaboul went to Portsmouth IIRC.
Not been good with my statistics tonight I can remember Keane had to convince Malbranque to sign which is always bad IMO and took about 3-4 weeks to get him there
Something like that Shifnal.
And Kaboul said something along the lines of "there'd have to be a Hurricane there to make me sign".
He then went to portsmouth, work that one out
oh yeah silver tounged harry, never mind
Sounds like Edwards was glad to go back!! but he wasn't even in the 18today!
spent £70m according to MOTD. even over a season and a half (is that how long hes been in charge?) thats a stupid amount of money for a very ordinary team
Keane has proved he is a better manager than mick, he got a team promotion and kept them there. Micks got to do that yet. I think keane has massive problems at sunderland though. His team doesnt seem to be gelling at all. If results dont pick up, he will be gone by christmas.
That doesn't make any sense. Keane has been backed financially and Mick wasn't. You can't compare apples and pears, I believe Keane is being found out and isn't the manager people thought.
If we can get Carlos back, then whatever it takes. Think he will go soon, definitely.
Of course it makes sense, roy keane got sunderland promotion, mick hasnt even done that for us yet. Its not bagging mick either, but keane got them promotion in under 1 season with similar backing to what mick has had. There isnt an argument really.
Behave, I'm far from being a Mad Mick man but Jesus H Christ, RK has been spoilt with the financial investment, Mick had the square root of FA to achieve the same goals!
I`n not convinced keane is doing a brilliant at sunderland either BS, but he took sunderland from 23rd postion and got them promotion in his first season, which was some achievement. In his first season he probably only spent ( i dont know exactly how much ) as much as mick did last season. All i am saying is he has done what mick hasnt done for us yet.
Im sure Keane had something like a net spend of £7m in the promotion season?
I wouldnt have a clue TBH. Mick has done a brilliant jon for us this season, but he will be judged ultimatley on whether he gets us promotion or not. As for Keane, he has spent a lot of money on average players in the premier league. I think Sunderland is a good comparison to us really. No matter who the manager is, or how much money they offer they still dont seem to get in top players and i believe this is the problem we will face when we get promotion. Who would want to live in Sunderland or Wolverhampton?
He may make a good manager, he may not. It took fergie a few years to get united going well but i dont think keane will get that time. Plus i think he will walk away if he doesnt think he is up to it.
