We should have a minute's applause on the 7th minute or whatever it was on the day we went down there.

Will definitely be at this one! Easy for me and my Dad. Will stay up with family in Liverpool, train from Fazakarley to Kirby then to Wigan, pukka!

Anyone know how far it is from Wigan Wallgate to the ground? And any good boozers along the way?

Wigan Wallgate is across the road from Wigan North Western, so not far.

Yeah, there are a few reasonable places for a stoppage along the way. I was in The Anvil near the bus station last time and it wasn't too bad if I remember rightly.

I think we should call it "National Norman Deeley Day". It's a shame Dave Whelan won't be there to enjoy it, but nevermind.

Enough of this broken leg & minutes support for allsorts rubbish that seems to happening always. Just get on with the game & support the team as normal & whatever the mood takes us in at the time.

I hope we're playing for an auto spot and Wigan are already relegated. Karma for the last time we played them in the 1st Division.

Try the Central, it's a great pub and it's just around the corner from the train station it's in a converted railway arch.

Yeh, the Anvil is well-known for its real ale especially from local breweries and it's right by the bus terminus. However the DW is not that far, easily walkable.

They're charging Brighton £20 for adults the week before...

Ah, yet they're charging Derby £25.

The joy of being the higher category.

And the most they're charging their fans is £22! Are they allowed to do this? I'm sure I've read before that the away fans aren't allowed to be charged more than the most expensive home ticket?

I thought that too, so on the side is cheaper than behind the goal??? Surely not

The only technicality is that they charge their fans £27 on the day, so a £5 increase on the £22; anyone shed any light on how it works?

They're not, 'equivalent' seats should be priced the same. So the stand opposite should be priced the same, some clubs can charge different for stands opposite (if better view/facilities etc) but Wigan surely could never get away with that theyre ground is literally exactly the same all round.

Where did you see they were charging £22? Had a look on their online tickets and doesn't go as far as our game.

Just went off the Derby game which is the same category judging by what Derby are being charged.

£22 is on the side, its £20 behind the opposite goal (South Stand).

Seems like they scrap the categories for home fans, sure that can't be right.

Will wait and see if they do do it that way for us will get onto our supporter liason bloke hopefully he will then do something thats what hes there for.

Aye, need to be proactive in it and make sure he gets as many emails/calls as possible.

They do charge £25 on day to home fans behind the goal; not sure if that's the loophole around it.

Preferably done at the time the incident took place. Shouldn't be too difficult to find out exactly when it took place seeing as Whelan never lets anyone forget.

From Wolves official Twitter: "Wigan sales currently on 2263 from an allocation of 4500."

Sales going well by the looks of things, can't wait for this one!

Just got mine. Not sure if Wolves saying that high figure in order to promote sales now, as because it is actually true.

Either way, not taking any chances and got it.

The Red Robin is the pub to visit, 5 minutes from the ground, car park next door and if anything like last time I was there a great day with Punjabi Wolves! Ask Dews.
    Red Robin & Ground, 1 Anjou Boulevard, WN5 0UJ.
Tickets for Wigan STH West Stand 22/17/6. Behind goal 20/15/5.
If Wolves sold out I can probably get some in home end if interested.
