The 3rd round draw takes place at 2.15pm on Sunday and we're ball 44.

Who would you like? I personally would like us to draw a Fulham, Middlesbrough or Bolton but it's more likely we'll either draw the winner of the Torquay vs Oxford match, or the winner of AFC Bournemouth vs Blyth Spartans.

Good call, I think Oldham at home could get a little embarrassing tbh :)

  7. Not a low league team , we'll probably lose like most years.
A league 1 or low prem team would be a decent draw, so oldham or albion :p

Some one decent, top 10 Prem. We lose and but not red faced after it.

Really really don't care about the FA Cup this season at all

either a real easy non-league type club so we can rest players, or away to Man u - respectable loss and concentrate on promotion

I just don't care this season about the FA Cup, by the way we are suffering injuries and relying on our squad's strength in depth to grind out the league results, the cup (which we won't win) adds too much injury risk and distraction from the main job in hand.

Oldham at home wouldnt be about the football, It would become 90 mins of hughes bashing. I personally want chelsea at home. Lets get the premier league leaders out of the cup early :D

    Like Cambridge last year?

Soon as i saw the thread i thought Wigan at home, though a glamour away tie will suit me. Get us used to Premier league stadia for next season.

Swanseas away for me - I was too sick to go earlier in the season so missed a new ground!

I couldn't care less about the cup this year and wouldn't mind if we went straight out frankly. I wouldn't mind an away tie at tedious lowly Championship club - ie Sheffield Wed or Barnsley - so we can avoid the humilation of going out to a lower league side but give the likes of Friend, Potter, Vokes etc, a decent run out and just say give a go, show us what you can do, and see what happens.

A Premier League side would get the glamour but we'd have to play the first team who will already have had a frantic xmas schedule and we have some tough league games already in January. Added to that, if we got stuffed, what confidence does that bring to them entering the premier league should we manage it?

Lower league teams.. well we know how smoothly we negotiate them

I'm with Marrs on this, this season.

It would be fun to have Oldham at home though - the Danny Mills game could well be eclipsed!

yes, I forgot about Mills - never ever heard so much abuse (deservedly so) aimed at one player.

"If Mills can play for England so can I..."

There'd be no doubt about that!!

I'd like a tie against one of the bottom half teams from the Prem to see how we'd fare, IF we went up.

Failing that, then an easier tie against a 3rd div or non-league club to give our reserves an outing and hopefully take us through.

I'm not as fussed about the cup this year as I think injuries can be our only downfall in the league, but you have to admit it's always good to be in the hat.

    Arsenal away

new ground, decent chance of TV revenue and no disgrace if we lost there giving us the old excuse of "concentrating on the league"

Not WBA - a win over them won't help anything, and a loss would hurt.
NO - get Wolves a midplaces PL-team or someone from Divison 1 or 2..
