I was going to write and say the Harris stand should be renamed the Heywood stand, but I thought of all the great work Jack Harris did and the impact on his memory and family, so how about a compromise.

The Heywood/Harris stand sounds good. Everyone would understand.

You certainly can't rename any other stand that's for sure

Sir jack didn't want anything like that. A statue would be an apt tribute. For all he did for us we could at least respect his wish.

    Oh and it's Hayward!!!

I suggested on the "Sir Jack Hayward Stand" thread that we have a Billy Wright & Jack Hayward stand because of the close link between the two men. According to Rachael Heyhoe-Flint they absolutely adored one another and it would seem fitting that two of the greatest ambassadors for Wolverhampton Wanderers should be jointly honoured in this way. Sir Jack invited Billy onto his board of directors; I'm sure Billy would in turn invite his great pal to share his stand.

Sounds nice, sounds great infact, but somehow no, sorry, not for me.

I am sure Wolves will come up with something very fitting.

Would like a Sir Jack statue myself.

But just to add that it is certainly a lovely thought.

I think it'd be disrespectful to rename stands that are already dedicated to people that deserve it.

Sir Jack will get his fitting tribute.

A simple, bronze statue of Sir Jack, thumbs up, at the back of a newly built South Bank stand (whether it's standing or seating) looking towards the pitch. He was a fan, like us, who adored the club. He will always be watching his beloved Wolves.

Over to you Steve to finish your stadium, something Sir Jack had done 20 years ago, and get this statue built.

I guess Sir Jack had a big say in the naming of the stands he rebuilt so I don't think he'd have wanted them changed for him.

If there is going to be a stand or statue, then it should be the Billy Wright. It will be around much longer than the other stands apart from the North Bank, and Sir Jack did not build that, or the Steve Bull.

The training ground is called after him already and he didn't want a part of the stadium named after him anyway. Be could always name the museum after him aswell.

To be fair, most people were surprised that the south bank was named the Jack Harris Stand ,as after all he was primarily a Walsall director and fan. However Sir Jack named it so problematic if we change it !

I think he means it was Sir Jack's own choice that's all.

Jack Hayward said if anything in the stadium has to bear his name then how about the Hayward Loos?!

    He's made his feelings clear

It will be great to have a statue of him sitting in the directors with his thumbs up, so he can watch every match.

He has a street, a training ground, a restaurant, there's a bust and a huge portrait of him. As great as the man was, I think that's enough to honour any man.
