10TH , well joint 9th really a solid start and on we go to Leicester .
I'd take 10th at any point this season!
Shouldn’t Shifnal be posting a graph for this by now?
Can we wait until after the Man City game ?
Let's see how things are after the next couple of games. Alphabetical order is not our friend.
I think that where we are now is about where we will finish
It will be hard to get any points from our next two games, so it's possible we will be near the bottom soon.
Remember we beat Leicester last pre-season....It will be a well fought game and they no longer have Riad Mares.
They’ve sold Riyad Mahrez as well.
Beat Leicester Saturday and then we'll go top for a couple of hours after we beat Man City the following Saturday lunchtime.
Agree. We have to not look at the table too much over the first few games, as we don’t want it to affect morale at such an early stage. The table means nothing until about 10 games.
True. In fact some teams that have good starts, like Huddersfield last season, subsequently get found out and drift donwards, as well as vice versa. I think Nuno asks his teams to approach every game as tough but winnable. We have some very good players learning to cope at this level. I wish people weren't writing Costa off after a below par performance in the opener. Form is temporary but class is permanent and Helder has class.
Sadly so, but I feel we may nick something at Leicester. A fox is just a small **** wolf after all!!!!
Any points from the next 2 games would be welcome and give us a good indication as to where we may finish.
I think we`ll get a point at Leicester.
Totally agree and hate to think what the reaction will be on here.
I think we’ll beat them.
True but I think most sensible people will be able to see the situation for what it is. In my opinion, and that of many pundits at the time, we were good enough for somewhere between 8th and 15th in the Prem last season, with that same team. Jiminez is clearly an upgrade on that side, and Traore could prove lethal. I'm not convinced either of Moutinho or Patricio will improve the side's performances hugely, despite being of undisputably high quality, but we've obviously added class. We'll be fine.
We're starting off the season against two sides we know will fancy 7th and then the record breaking champions, then in the next three we have a side that spent £100m, the side that finished 7th last year and Man U. Anywhere between five and seven points from our first six is a decent return and sets us up well as we begin to play against sides who are happy for 17th and hopefully we rack up some wins to get us into mid table/top half
Last time we were in this division we had 7 points from the first 3 games and were top of the league. We ended up bottom.
We are the top Midland club!!!!!! many years since we have been in that position.
Im relative confident about the Foxes..... avoiding a drubbing against Manchester City would be good for morale
Where we are after week 38 is the only thing that matters. One place above Manchester City will be just fine...
i fully expect to lose, and possibly by a large margin, against man city, Leicester however we should be looking at 3 points.
I think we can a result at Leicester. Citeh is another matter but never say never.
So do I.
Top half each week will do just fine
Think we’ll see a completely different Wolves performance vs Leicester. I think the nerves won’t be there, we’ll settle into our stride, we’ll control the game like vs Everton but this time Leicester will come at us a bit and we can counter at pace. I think the wing backs will kick on, the passing will improve especially the sweeping 4-irons out to the wings, I think they’ll work on all the things that didn’t click on Sat’dee, and Traore will be on the bench. 2-1 to the good guys, and bring on the realisation that we actually have a seat at the top table. COME ON!!!
Following a win at Leicester, we will bet he first and only team to stop Man City scoring before Christmas.
Go tell that to the Call Out Clock.
Even if get beat, plenty of joy in being above Arsenal (will lose away Chelsea)... 2 games gone, just 36 to go.
I can see us nicking something at Leicester... However, Vardy's pace against Coady and Bennett could get scary...
