Cowardly and $$$$$$$ acts. About 20 seats were thrown down apparently. Onto fans including many women and children.

    Could kill somebody.

Always been a smug bunch who like to criticise and make fun of our (admittedly too common over the years) hooliganism problem. Bit of a shock to find there's a few of their own like that given relative safety to do so. Would imagine CCTV will find most of them though.

Ive known them to be just as bad as some of ours over the years, a 12 year old Wolves fan got his nose broken by an Albion thug by the North Bank, and I personally saw a disabled Wolves fna on sticks pushed over outside the Whorethorns, tho to be fair other Albion fans ran to help him.

There is a moral-less element everywhere, but throwing seats down is particularly indiscriminate and cowardly if you ask me.

Apparently Villa refused to give West Brom the whole of the North Stand. At least they've got the balls to tell WMP to go and do one.

    Moxey take note !

I thought for cup games you had to give 15% or similar figure?

I take it they threw the seat diagonally down or else it would've hit another stripey in the tier below? But then that is the level of intellect down at Sandwell.
Seemed like Villa park was rocking yesterday, helped that k.off was so late in the day, and the fact that their fans have had zero to cheer about for years. Bit like us last year.

Do you reckon these 2 villa v wba games will mean our own black country derby will diminish a little?

Exactly, I get tired of people saying he had no choice. He could have split them over the Steve Bull and South bank flank, but did'nt want the additional policing costs. He shoul dhave stood his ground and said no way.

In the history of English football, find me another club that gives its main home end to the opposition.

Arsenal refused to even give Spurs the 15% they are entitled to, nothing happened there.

I can't see us playing them anytime soon anyway mate. Also you ask the older West brom fans who they hate more wolves or the vile and nearly 99 percent of them would say the vile.

About what I said last night, didn't actually read the thread.

Was under the impression that they were in the lower tier and threw the seats at the Villa fans who had charged on the pitch to goad them - which I have to say I wouldn't have a major problem with.

Now realise they were in the upper tier and so were throwing the seats down on to anyone which of course is wrong and dangerous.

A massive amount of West Brom fans were on national radio this morning complaining that Villa fans had attempted to cause damage to their transport yesterday after the match . Hundreds of horse and carts outside the away supporters part of the ground were affected in the incidents . Away supporters responded by throwing horse manure at rival fans . A Wolverhampton Wanderers supporter phoned WM radio and pointed out the A****n fans have always pretended to be angelic but its looks as though this time they have s*** on their hands and everyone nationally can see it !

Personally think the 15% away fans for cup games is a good thing, it means the atmos for these games is a bit different to league games, more of a party atmosphere and lessening the home tie advantage a bit.

Trouble with the molineux as it was was that we had 2 home ends in a way, north and south banks, but was it the fact that it would've been too difficult to police the turnstile/ entrances in that game so couldn't give the steve bull lower plus the sb flank? Something like that, basically just a freak situation with the molineux layout, but led to a bit of a PR disaster.

Unfortunately, it was always going to happen.

My mates deliberately didn't get tickets in the North lower yesterday as they knew it would start raining 'stuff'.

It was crazy putting Albion above Villa.

statement from The Hawthorns read: “West Bromwich Albion note the public apology issued by Aston Villa in the wake of the disturbing scenes during and after the FA Cup quarter-final at Villa Park. The apology is received in the spirit with which it was intended.
“The club is also aware of reports of serious misbehaviour involving some of its own supporters. It issues an uncompromising reminder that any supporter found guilty of disorder offences can expect the appropriate sanction from the club. West Bromwich Albion will continue to operate zero tolerance to any fans who bring the club’s reputation into disrepute.
“The club also welcomes the FA investigation into the scenes and how they came about; West Bromwich Albion will co-operate fully.
Pitch invasions cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. The safety of the club’s players and staff during and at the end of the game was clearly compromised and that has to be a subject of deep concern for everyone involved.”

What was said after their lot were gloating and goading us in the play-offs??

Former Villa and West Brom forward Kevin Phillips, an analyst for BBC Radio 5 live, was concerned for the visiting players as he said: "I can see West Brom players still on the pitch which, for me, is very dangerous. For me this has been very badly policed. Why are there still away players on there?
"They should be punished for it."

Funny that, I don't remember him asking for any punishment when he was playing for Albion in the play-offs.
